Oh crumpets I love them! I used to refer to them as 'butter carriers'!

Gotta be toasted twice and have real butter obv! I recently discovered the delights of letting them cool and buttering them a second time, they're almost better like that! Not that I can wait that long!

I'm particular about what I have on them, always butter and eat the first one like this. Marmite is my next choice, jam and honey or syrup are acceptable, Nutella maybe and on the odd occasion melted cheese but that's it!

I've made my own from scratch and they were good, not that difficult either. I've had the giant ones (meh) and the square ones (YeH) , the sourdough ones and multi grain ones (YeH YeH)

The crumpet loaf sounds next level I want one! I bet it could take a whole block of butter though I dread to think!
