Sorry op I just have to
The first soap was made from the ashes of heroes, like the first monkey shot into space. Without pain, without sacrifice, we would have nothing |

Any that doesn't use palm oil and not wrapped in plastic or over packaged.
I spend a of summer camping and being outdoors so citronella is good, I'm just coming to the end of the last bar.
Cussons Imperial Leather and Pears reminds me of my childhood when we had a bath once a week even if we didn't need it. |

"What is your favourite brand of soap?
(Do I get any bonus points for the sheer mediocrity of this thread?)
"
This thread isn't any old mediocrity - this thread is sheer banal mediocrity.
Well done ! x |

Soap ....
1. Wrights Coal Tar - best thing on the planet for keeping the face spotless - literally.
2. Cidal
3. Dettol
Sure those two are psychologically sanitary for me.
4. Pears Green
5. Pears Blue
6. Pears Original
7. Fairy
8. Dove
9. Any L'occitane
10. Don't think there is a 10........
No soap goes near my face except Wrights
No soap goes near my oojie ... ever. |

North Norfolk area |
As others have said, the good old Coal Tar soap.
No doubt not very interesting to people, but my father used to be the warehouse manager at Wright, Layman and Umney in Southwark, where it was made. |

Nearer than you think |
I love soap (trying hard not to use shampoo or shower gel in plastic bottles).
I've just bought a box of Provence soap from a local importer... it's beautifully fragranced, no plastic packaging and no palm oil.
Trialling the Yorkshire Soap Co.'s shampoo and conditioner bars at the moment. OK so far. |

A friend got me a box of Alter/ Native soaps and they are fantastic. Don't seem to go mushy either.
Orange and cinnamon
Coconut milk and ylang-ylang
Grapefruit and lemongrass
Patchouli and hemp (really strong)
Natural rose
