Clothes used to smell a lot fresher when they were put out on the washing line....
even clothing that rained on had a nice smell ..
Nowadays it's all tumble dryers.. using precious fossil fuels or pandas or something bad..
What about my friendly clothes peg seller "Peggy"- thrown on the scrapheap at 96 that's what...
Knickers were that first thing to be stolen on line...
Who wants a game of hangman..
P.s. it wasn't me who gave the panda a black eye |

I can't stand the smell of washing dried outside. It's not an issue now I'm in a flat but when I had outside space I would dry trousers and knickers on the line but tops had to be dried indoors because they were closer to my nose.
No bedding ever got dried outside, not pressing my face into a stinky pillowcase for the whole night.
I don't get how people like that metallic, copper-penny smell of it. Give me lenor any day of the week! |

I love my outdoor dried clothes. The smell of cruise ship fumes..the rolling waves and the smell of seagull. No wonder I pull such lovelies anxious for an old mariner. |

Blimey! The air must be a lot stinkier in your neck of the woods. I love outdoor dried laundry. |

"Get a Lakeland Dry Soon heater airer. They are brilliant. "
2nd this, had one once, but now I have an old fashioned airer on the ceiling above the radiator and it's great!
The tumble dryer is for emergency drying of jeans waistbands only.. |

I hang all my clothes, and if i really had to i wouldnt have a problem hand washing clothes either. Ppl should learn to be sufficient without the use of modern luxuries. That way we can learn to appreciate what we often take for granted |
