I mean, it's in so many peoples profile text, along with the utterly unenforceable nonsense about Facebook being a publicly traded company so your data is public...er, this isn't Facebook, and that's also nonsense... |

Fab isn't a publicly traded entity, not even a PLC or on the stock exchange, it isn't related to Facebook and it is a private company. There is no record of Sydney Uni stealing cock and pussy pics. Covid-19 vaccine does not contain microchips. And all the other bullshit that people would rather post than writing a decent profile.
The things that really bugs me is that if you threaten legal action in court for someone stealing your pics then you will surely have your name in the papers with the sites mentioned and pay thousands of pounds in legal fees because someone saw your cock or pussy. Am I the only one who thinks this will never happen? Steal my pics MOFOs, see if I give a shit.
Someone did steal my ex-gf ones and Fab Admin shut their account down in minutes.  |

Always makes me smile when I see this, it's a sad smile though. Especially for those that leave the bit about Facebook in.
People put about being 100% discreet and how their friends/family CANT FIND OUT but then put a warning about court action if pics etc used.

Its 1kb of data each time. Its not really alot. Thats 34mb of data if everyone who is online atm has it their profiles
Not really that much of an issue unless i am missing something

From the FAQ section…
We've noticed a legal disclaimer paragraph that some people have on their profiles. Should we have one too? What are they about? Do they do any good?
The "legal disclaimer" is pointless nonsense and all does is take up extra space on our servers. Please remove it if you have it on your profile. If you're worried about privacy please set your account to be hidden from non-registered users on your privacy page (this also hides it from search engines but may take a week or two to drop out of search) and remove the notice (and encourage others to do likewise).
(Sorry for wasting more server space)

My point is, 34mb if 34000 people have it in their profile is hardly "extra space on our servers" Not really alot. You could quite easily say the same for people with very old photos,ASCII rabbits and that BDSM test thing

I think it's just a plausible and faintly amusing way of saying don't be an idiot without resorting to calling the user an idiot . Never seen one specific warning quite as prolific as the Sydney one though. I wonder how many of the people who paste that actually read the Ts&Cs or the site Terms and Conditions?

I’ve seen lots of people put piss-takes to the Sydney Uni thing … cmon Syd steal my pics and make me famous etc - always makes me grin
When we first joined I did add it after seeing it on sooo many profiles I thought omg I’d better add it. But that was in the first few days of being on here. It is twaddle. The Facebook thing is even more twaddle. Makes me cringe now
