I do a mean chicken, mushroom & leek pie with a rough-puff lid. I'd take that over any pukka you care to mention, so that's probably my favourite. Unless you count pasties?
As for sweet pies, gimme a nice deep fill mince pie any day. Glorious stuff. |

I feel like as a non meat eater we miss out on the delights of pies. However controversial but I do make a mean quorn cottage pie.
Is a pie even a pie if it doesn’t have pastry? Can a mash topped pie count?? |

I always see pies as very English, the only savoury pie I like is steak, but has to be with puff pastry, not shortcrust. Fruit pies on the other hand, I adore! |
