Tbh, I was thinking what an odd question. Surely just removing vehicles would do the trick?

Septoplasty, I had decades of nasal blockage, caused by a bent septum (nasal divider) breathing has improved by noticeable amount.
This was at the cost of the ability to smell nice things. sadly detection of stinky smells have not been reduced in strength. |

Ah I see.
I’ve heard of some pressure points you can push above and below your nose which is supposed to help elevate sinus pressure but that’s like a, quick fix for five minutes of breathing type deal. |

You need a Neti pot. You can get them in Boots.
It’s a squeezy bottle, you put saline in, and then squeeze it up your nose.
It doesn’t hurt or give you that horrible water up the nose feeling, and it really works for sinuses. |

That's OK.
Tied to the fact that I also have:
A dust allergy
A post nasal drip: always swallowing runny snot
A collapsing right nostril: make me look like LaToyah Jackson (They forgot to do this in 2018)
An immune system that is a little bit prone to colds and sulphites (found in some ales and wines)
Not forgetting of course dysfunctional breathing.
I have never spent a single day since 1982, without having to blow my nose.
Is it any wonder why I know my way around the decongestant shelves and have gone through a couple of tree in my life so far (Trees=tissues).
And relax (blows nose then breathes through mouth again!) |

So just so we’re all on the same page, I’m going to Hock the green demon up and cast it out by flobbing it far, while having Whisky neat with Eucalyptus oil also while I Steam with some Vicks in a bowl of boiling water and hold my head over it with a towel over your head for about 10 mins, NOT OPENING MY EYES, with a Honey and lemon hot drink in my other hand while I also attempt to sleep propped up on pillows whilst eating the hottest curry you can take topped with a ton of English mustard or a hot horseradish sauce while (because I’ve no hands left) @BustyBellex will rub Vicks on my feet and put on my socks as @princesspeach (because my mouth is already busy) pops in a few Milk of magnesia suppositories with @Hippychick. Pouring a Neti Pot up on me nostril that definitely doesn’t hurt or give you that horrible water up the nose feeling and @ink_and_the_sea shoving a garlic clove up the other all while @Sparkle1974 mixes up a fresh batch of Vicks crystals for the next round.

This problem has been solved by the Scottish and some Irish...the kilt.
Seeing how oats is not labelled as a trigger for IBS, then taking boxers off is too tricky, when nature calls.
Hence kilt wearers going commando
Makes sense, donch ya think? |

Menthol crystals dissolved in boiling water, then cover up your head over the steam and inhale. Add eucalyptus if you have it, too.
Take an NSAI medication, like Aspirin, Ibuprofen, as they should reduce swelling.
I'd also add an antihistamine med, in case any of your congestion isn't due just to the infection. |

I’ve recently had a mri scan as my sinus’s are inflamed… tried
Steam bath
Vics
Spa steam rooms (salt and some other weird stuff) until I’m about ready to pass out
Swimming
Etc etc
After seeing a professor at hospital I use over the counter
Clarinaze mometasone furoate - you can get it over the counter at Asda pharmacy
Worked for me if the other stuff doesn’t pan out buddy |
