I’m currently lying in bed and listening to the rain hammering down outside my open window. It’s such a reassuring sound when you’re all snuggled up and cosy.

What sounds do you find particularly special?

Ditto nothing better than laying in bed here the rain hit the window with someone nice to cuddle in to

Or a tent or carvan is = as good

Definitely the rain when you’re in bed. I also like hearing the sea being all moody in a storm when you’re in a car on the seafront.

The sound of the clicking and cracking at the chiropractors. I don’t think there’s anything more satisfying than having your back cracked

Last time I was in Liverpool I walk past a car, and I hear click, the sound of a car radio being removed, is strange no?

I walk the local beach as often as I can. It's my go to safe place after all the covid shit as it gave me headspace when I needed it during lockdowns. The sound of the oystercatchers calling to each other is just the best. It's the everything about the seaside to me. The magic place where land meets sea & sky. My funny little black & white birds with orange beaks with their distinctive call.

Missin’ Yo’ Kissin’

When you give her a lying down hug & you can hear her gently breathe in & out!

Cos it would be a bit wierd just plonking yer head on her chest if she was standing in a bar!

Might get a knee somewhere or a hard slap...!

Somewhere In The Ether…

Thunder; There was a few claps of it here this morning in fact.

There is indeed a curious feeling of snug comfort and security when one can hear the elements gnashing their teeth outside.

Rain crashing upon a tin roof whilst one is safely underneath it is especially satisfying I find

Complete utter silence is my comfort, although it's virtually impossible to recreate in an urban environment, or any other normally-accessible environment for that matter.

I did hear (no pun intended) of a studio where this has been achieved very closely, but I have not followed up on it yet.

Your superior wit and originality has defeated me.

I love any of nature’s sounds, like waves, trees in the wind etc. The sound of Mr sleeping is a warming and comforting one! And I adore the sound of a plane taking off, or a fighter jet flying over slurp! My least fave sound is my neighbour power hosing his car at 5am rahhhh!

On a mooch

Sitting in a quiet place and hearing nothing but the birds singing.

As a child though it was laying in the garden, book in hand, listening to the old metal type push lawnmowers, there was something quite calming about the sound.

At this moment sat in the woods listening to the wind in the trees. No traffic sounds just the sound of my dog running around. Tranquility
