…..and getting colder.
Which can mean only one thing: Time to turn the heating on.
So…..how many radiators do you have in your houses good folks?
What type of boiler do you have them running off of?

We have four storage heaters, we don't have gas in any of the blocks along our road and they are so damn expensive to run. To be fair we only have two on, one in the lounge and one in Doughnuts office. I don't mind them as they do the job, Its just the expense!

My original C H was installed in 1992, but I'd a new Worcester boiler installed a year ago which has a 10yr warranty; it runs 4 rads.
I've a separate hot water boiler for kitchen and bathroom water & works perfectly despite its age. |

I have 7 radiators run from a combi boiler that's currently acting up. I have a log burner, but can't use it until I get a new flue liner installed
But it's not cold enough to have the heating on yet |

7 radiators from a boiler, don’t have a clue what sort. Rare they go on unless really cold, and only in the early mornings, joys of flat living. Cooking heats up the living room and we don’t like them on in the bedrooms. Have two oil radiators that I wheel out when needed, December maybe. |

Top tip: You may thank me for this (or maybe not) but give your heating a quick run everyone before it gets really cold - nowt worse than discovering that your rads are not working when you really need them |

Come to think of it - I need to rebalance my system (I was meaning to do it last year!) as half my rads are not working including my beautiful, metallic wall radiator in my upstairs bathroom.
She’s a beauty! (even if she isn’t working) |

I live in a converted barn/milking parlour with big thick stone walls no heating whatsoever except a log burner in the lounge, we’ve had it on since the end of September . I miss central heating so bad! |

Put the heating on? Have you gone crazy? It's not even Big Coat weather yet!
I've still got my summer duvet on my bed, 4 togs is all I need.
I'm hardcore, grew up in the 70's with no heating and ice on the inside of the windows. We did get a bit of heat from the candles during the strikes though.
I don't do heating unless I can see my breath.
5 rads and a nice boiler. |

5 only 3 turned on and only if the temp is below 19c from a combi boiler oh and a nice open fire in the living room that I use as I have tons of wood to burn which doesn't cost me anything and means the heating hardly comes on |

5 radiators and an Ideal gas boiler. Well, it would be ideal if it cost nothing to use but you see what I mean.
Gotta ask OP. Are you a plumber with a fetish? It feels a bit dirty to think that someone might be cracking one off over my central heating |

Had a Main (unbranded Baxi) boiler installed last winter. Had all Vaillant's in the past properties. It's sure is dam cheaper than a Vaillant but was told he rarely has problems with Baxi and its what he uses in his own home. So time will tell but so far very happy with it and so compact too. Plus it uses far less gas than then 20+ year Vaillant it replaced. |

Said in a sexy Joanna Lumley kind of way.... 7 radiators that was previously 9, and a lovely sleek new (ish) Worcester boiler. I would swap it all for an aga and a rocking chair though |

I literally bought a rocking chair so I can sit in front of the fire like an old bid |

No idea on radiators. I didn't exactly do a roll call when the house was bought. I'm being serious. I am vaguely aware of metally-type things in rooms, and they are warm. Never went round counting them.
They've been on since the end of Aug. |
