Heinz tomato soup. With thick white Warburtons bread. I lived on that particular duo when recovering from Covid. Weirdly, I hadn’t had any particular notion for it before then.

On a mooch

I’ve just made a big batch of ragu which will keep me going over the next couple of days. Add to that soup, Heinz tomato or chicken jambalaya with thick bread, plus a bag of oranges and I’m happy. Always seem to get a sweet tooth so grabbed some iced bun fingers today, childhood memory

Bug be gone

Heinz should re-market their Tomato Soup as medicinal

Actually joking aside, Tomato Ketchup, in the 1830’s was in fact marketed as a medicine, claiming to cure ailments such as diarrhea, indigestion, and jaundice.

Bizarre but true

.

Chicken noodle soup with dumplings or matzo balls.

Or macaroni cheese with lots of cheese and an almost cara_elized top. Very fresh salad with tomatoes and lambs lettuce so I feel healthy.

And satsumas and frozen grapes.

My partner (on the two times he's been poorly since we've been dating) eats really hot curries and chugs lucozade so he's a clammy, fragrant mess.

This . I always have some made and frozen, which I can then easily heat up without much effort ... the last thing I want is to be making it from scratch when I've been feeling poorly.

Always add garlic into my chicken broth ... good for fighting infection.
