I’d change that ending…
Jump to: Newest in thread
Budding screenwriters and directors step forth!
List a film/s here that you’d personally have preferred a different ending to other than what we ultimately got and describe how you’d have preferred it to end.
You may be as serious or as utterly outrageous as you like
Off you go good folks |

Shawshank Redemption both Me and the Director agree it should have ended when he (Morgan Freeman) is on the train. However the studio got involved and wanted a more obvious ending.
However the Director didn’t make the same mistake with ‘The Mist’ giving it a memorable ending. |

Million Dollar Baby: Hilary Swank senses her opponents dirty behind the back move in the ring and swings around with an utterly devastating right cross that would make even Rocky Balboa envious. Her devious opponent ends up in the hospital bed instead of her |

Italian Job. Busman was driving the coach and gets out while its poised on the cliff edge to send his 12th thread of the day, unbalancing the vehicle and sending our heroes crashing down the mountain.
Crime doesn't pay, kids. |

Goose wouldn’t have died in Top Gun.. there would still have been an epic pissing contest with the Migs & Iceman but Maverick & Goose would have done an epic fly by together! |

"Rambo first blood.
It’s an amazing film but the book is so much more darker and troubling. I’d remake it with the original content as the ending "
My year 6 friend at school can dressed as Rambo for world book day this year. He had never seen the film but had read the book. He was Pennywise in year 4 lol |

"Grease why did she have to change herself for a man and why oh why did the car fly away "
Danny also changed and tried to be a jock.
However I’m one of the few guys who preferred Sandy before the skin tight trouser, biker jacket stuff. But I’m weird like that (or like the dresses )

Away for Christmas |
Just the ending?
Or changing things up throughout the story to quite clearly influence the ending?
So Die Hard for example everything stays the same through the whole movie, but Hans Grubber does not fall.
Or in as somebody said if you stop Mufasa from dieing in Lion King that won't only change the ending but events leading up to the ending too. |

I think that scene worked well as it is. In life I need more Walken and Hopper. If they ever make a live action version of the muppets then I'm casting them as Waldorf and Stalter |

"Disney’s, Inside Out: Bing Bong fucking well lives! Fuck THAT scene! Fuck you Disney! "
Oh most definitely I too would change this ending. I get the piss taken out of me by my family over my upset of Bing Bong dying, I was proper sobbing and never have been able to watch that scene again.

Agree with this, the car lands with a big explosion. They get up and dust themselves off in the style of the A team. Turning around to give them the finger.
Great film.
Also should've live, John Coffey in the green mile. |

"Rocky IV. Apollo didn't need to die! Although we did get a pretty sick driving montage out of it..."
The original Rocky. Plough through all that bad acting and the bastard loses at the end of it? So I've just watched a film about a loser who goes through this huge redemption arc and comes out the other end a loser still? |
