I like to face away, nice on the back and shoulders then tilt head back to do the face. Not sure there is a right and wrong way. It becomes a dilemma when sharing a shower when you both like to face the same way I suppose.

From a pra tical point of view can you really stand with your face in the water jets? Stings eyes, can't see.

Standing with back to means you can wash with no assault on the eyes and can see everything you are doing until you finally turn around face in to get it washed. No?
