"Die Hard?

Not a Christmas film!"

It's a film set at Christmas and has Christmas as part of its theme.

Is it about the cannibal sub genre of horror films that came out of Italy in the early eighties?

Dario Argento. Film's most unrecognised genius.

A fantastic director indeed

I rewatched his classic, The Bird With The Crystal Plumage recently. Brilliant film!

Funnily enough, I won’t name her here, but a certain lovely lady forumite bears an uncanny resemblance to his gorgeous daughter, Asia Argenta to…..

I got introduced to his films by a friend 1994 who knew that I loved horror, but was bored with 90s horror flicks. I've never been so utterly impressed and it's easy to see which directors use him as their inspiration.

On a mooch

I’m imagining a single person escapes to get away from it all, meets another (normally head strong) they bash heads at first then slowly the strong one melts and they fall in love just in time for a happy ever after Christmas.

Set in a North America/Canada border town with fake snow carefully placed around trees and kerbs that you can see lifting up in the wind. Plot - attractive but not sexy young woman from the big city meets single dark-haired Dad who is usually the local mayor, but is also a handyman. Either a cookie shop, Christmas tree farm or quaint hotel that's going out of business, but is all saved by a really spiffing Christmas fair.

Is it about reparations in post WW1 Germany and how it ultimately led to the rise of Fascism?
