Demoralised due to age...

Hey guys.
Thinking of calling it day on here.
Saw a profile of a lovely looking lady which I would of like to of said hello to.
Reading her profile it said " please no Grandads " her preference age is 25- 50...!!
It's hard enough being a single guy on here ,then you read that and I think " what's the point ,who am I trying to fool"
The thing is when I look in a mirror I don,t see an old guy looking back at me.
Obviously it's not what others see.
Any one else thinking this way ?

We all have age ranges including you Op. However in a club or social these can change when you get to know that person.
If something like this questions your reasons for being on the site, then maybe you should leave as there’s plenty of other filters on profiles. These can be even more strict and in some cases very insulting.  |

I think you're gorgeous. There are plenty of lovely ladies on here of all ages. We can admire the younger ones who we're too old for from a distance. There's nothing wrong with that but why doesn't the OP concentrate on those who have an older age range? It's not rocket science. |

. I can understand your frustration but at the end of the day we all have preferences and that includes age. I am 53 and there are lots of people I can’t even message because I am over their age limit so I just except that it is what it is and move on.On a different note since coming out of lockdown I am having difficulties motivating my self to attend the places I use to before Covid19 and I too may call it a day or bite the bullet and go and see if I can rediscover my old enthusiasm. |

nah hes 46 its in the blurb of the profile its all good though hes still got 4 more years to meet that bird and as she gets older her age range might change upward as well
hopefully the op will message and be nuts deep in her before long he fits her current age profile so i hope he goes for it haha
it is weird though innit when i was young someone late 40s looked really old haha now I see someone that age and they dont seem old at all why is that???? |

Think we all have those moments. In my head I still think I am in my 20s.
The other week I happened to put the radio on in the car and they did a golden hour. The golden hour in question was 1996!
I was like nooooo something from the 1960 or 70s is golden not the 90s.  |

I get hit on far more in my 40s than I ever did in my 20s and 30s. Weird. Just last night I had a persistent young man in a club in London. I was already with friends so nothing happened but does go yo show age doesn't really mean much IRL. |

T'would be nice if age was a balancing factor but I don't think it really is with Fab. I'm sure one of the smart Fab boffins could write an equation based on Male/Female ratios, sexual preferences, age ranges etc to either prove or disprove the theory. |

So you are still within her age limits even with the age you have written in your profile as oppose to the one that shows up first so like others have said what the issue ? .
Everyone have preferences anyhow. Plenty of men who are older than you are on here get meets and enjoy fab. |

Not sure why someone with an upper age limit 9 years above your stated age would demoralise anyone. I'm four nearly five years above the ops upper age and I'm not one but demoralised. I qualify for my pension and bus pass next year, I can't bloomin wait |

What age is the lady you mention?
Are you actually 41 or adapted your actual age for your profile?
Mrs here prefers guys older than her but not so close to her parents age, so those around her parents age and those younger than 30 generally miss out.
We all have comfort zones and really shouldn't expect others to step out of theirs for our sake.
Look elsewhere at those that might be interested.
I saw a profile the other day stating only looking for single guys, I'm not a single guy. Damnit |

Well I happen to be one of the really old gits on here and a Grandad to boot, Currently ill health is dictating my life both on here and in the real world but I am far from disillusioned.

Don't be demoralised about it.. I'm 52 and I'm on here... I don't have as much fun as I like, and I see profiles stating an age from from 25 to 50...but it doesn't put me off... Theres many that want a 52 year old so you have more options than me.. So chin up and plug away.. |

See I didn't read the OPs opening post as having a go at anybody I read it as realising that the older we get the less chance we have on here as you move out of age brackets.
You look at a profile and think ooh I like him or her and then look at their age bracket and think oh shit too old move on. It is that sudden realisation that you are old |

Probably find the profilee sees grandads as being her granddads age. Forgetting shes 20whatever.

As someone who is 67 . Yes there are on Fab females who like older males. A lot on profiles though , even if filters open for any age range. State looking for younger male in their bio. Yes it is easier for a female on here to meet . Due to the ratio of females to males. I get replies to messages . Which is a bonus and average of more than 10 profile views a day. Mostly males . Females view in stealth mode ? I read profiles before messaging. |
