When receiving a message, which word(s) are a turn off for you? Asking everybody, male and female.
I know some people like to refer to themselves as "sluts" etc but there is a difference between what you refer to yourself as and what somebody else gets to call you.
As a woman, as an example I do not particularly appreciate being referred to as a "whore in the bedroom". Am I overthinking this and too sensitive? |

"If I received a message with any of those references it would be binned and blocked "
That is how I feel tbh - I know in the context of this site, normal standards may not necessarily apply but still, some words are off the menu really, aren't they? |

"Babe.
You dont like being called babe?
No "
Understood - interestingly that one does not bother me as much but I guess it is different for a man.
Tbh I immediately associate the term "babe" with the movie about pigs. |

Usually any sentence with the words now and meet in them is an immediate turn off because they haven't read my profile.
Strangely another one is when they use my profile name at least one in each sentence. If it's an attempt at familiarity it has the opposite effect. |

"When they feel the need to tell me they are a “good catch” or similar and list things like gorgeous, fit, intelligent….. I just read it as “awful personality’"
Hey, you really are a good catch, aren't you?

Definitely not on your own with that one
When I random or a one night stand calls me things like that kind off makes me feel degrading it’s a different story if it’s a regular playmate I don’t mind and love being called things like that kind off a odd one |

"Not so much the words but how they are used when it shows a lack of intelligence or understanding of the context of words"
And maybe sometimes it is about the (lack of) gender sensitivity to a particular word, like "babe" as said earlier for a man, "whore" for a woman? |

"I find "no" a bit of a turn off
There is always the one ....
Sorry. Real pain in the ass day at work!! Hey, no sweat - I thought it was a funny response. Made me chuckle.
PS Hope your day gets better as it progresses. "
Thank you. Not long to go thankfully |

Yes words can be degrading without the person ever realising because they how they 1) normally speak 2) they are playing into gender stereotypes/roles |

You're deffo not alone op, if I got slut /whore /slag in a message it would be delete and block.
Hate over familiar terms like hun/sexi/babe on first messages too.
I think people have to gage the individual they're messaging, if they refer to themselves as slut/whore, that's different to someone who makes no reference to it.
I also detest Wuu2 or wuin2? |

Totally!
Out of interest... I am clearly behind the times, what does WUUU2 and WUIN2 actually mean? |

"Paddy unless it's another Paddy calling me Paddy
That I do understand. It is an assumption that this is ok... but it is not really ok,is it? "
I've several friends of different nationalities that call me it but tbf I use similar terms for them. I've been called Paddy by people as a slur and it wasn't cool. |

Dad or Daddy or Sir
I prefer to take control in a sexual encounter, but I am not a Dom or an Alpha either
In fact, most terms that imply hyper-masculinity are a bit too cringe for me |
