I don't hate Beyonce, I just don't actively like her music. It's just meh.

I do loathe Tom Waits. His voice makes me grimace. Half a dozen people have been convinced they can find the track that will make me like him (I really do want to like him) but all have failed.

I think the comment hinged on the word “despite”, suggesting that it is a surprise that she has gay fans despite being married to jay-z. But jay-z is probably one of better rappers when it comes to lgbt, so may just have been a misunderstanding on the part of the earlier poster, assuming jay-z would be a complete knuckle-dragger in this regard. I don’t see any suggestion in the post that there is anything wrong with having gay fans, more a different at j-zee

I remember seeing him onstage at the Brits once doing a duet with Tom jones. It’s only when you hear his voice directly beside a real singer that you realise how shit it is, not in the same league. And he looked like a tit, jumping around onstage while jones actually looked like he knew what he was doing. I was embarrassed for Williams

"Weirdly, Iron Maiden have always been one of those bands whose music I WANT to like but it just doesn't connect. I can appreciate the talent and skill and musicianship that goes into their songs but they just don't get me going

Run for the hills is ok tbf

And there's a few from the Fear of the Dark album I like and I also like their Live After Death album and.. and... shit, I'm gonna have to go listen to some Iron Maiden now!"

Agree.. Paul Di'Anno Maiden albums were REALLY my thing. I bought Number of the Beast and thought it was OK but not as much as previous ones. I really didn't like anything since. Bruce's warbly voice irritates me.

It baffled me, in the distant past, what people saw in Led Zeppelin!

Simon and Garfunkel was more my taste, but Paul Simon became a real pain in the a## in later years."

Yea that was a very unfortunate development, Simon and Garfunkel being so good and then paul Simon turning into a bit of an arse

She's not even a great singer

But I'd still rather listen to her than the caterwauling that is Whitney Houston or Mariah fucking Carey....

"Status Quo ! Just leave me cold

Agreed. "Quo Live" is a fantastic album and shows that as a band they were once a force to be reckoned with, even I'd so e of the music was rather formulaic.

Just remembered that I also hate Nirvana

I was 18 and in my first term at uni when Nevermind came out, and I was arguably the ideal demographic to appreciate it. But I thought they were shit at the time, and 30 years later I still think they're shit

"Gary FUCKING Barlow!!!

Does everyone love him though? Not sure. I know quite a few people who don't.

One of them does work for HMRC, which may be a factor.

Hmmm, true! I think I just wanted to get that loathing off my chest. I'm sure he's a lovely guy in real life though.

If we're going for singers, then Robbie Williams. Can't stand the prick.

Another vote here for that smug git! "

I was at Uni when he was popular. Played at you from every bedroom in halls of residence.

It was only fair that I played Metallica in return.
