There's a bit of road I drive down most days to go to the gym and it's always blocked up with cars going to the chippy so you have to give way Al the time. Almost every single person says thank you. Makes me very happy  |

I absolutely loathe that. What's worse is when you let them pass but they're driving at a snails pace. You would have clearly been through before them, but they don't care.

Definitely notice the north south divide, I don’t think I’ve said hello, good morning / afternoon /evening in 5 years than these last three days. Even on top of a hill someone pops up with ‘hello’ and a nonsense chat |

Exactly, it’s only polite to say hello to folk or acknowledge the good deed they’ve done no matter how small. I blame the parents  |

Agree biker too most nod but not all. And as for the southern thing was born in London lived in Hertfordshire for over 20 years now in the Midlands and seems to me the further up I move the worse the driving gets. |

They should teach new bikers the little hand wave as drivers pull to the left to give them space to pass on single carriage ways or down the middle of dual carriage ways in traffic. That seems to be a thing of the past now  |

I sometimes get one finger raised half heartedly from a hand on the steering wheel. Very passive aggressive, I feel. Never sure whether to acknowledge back in a friendly fashion or raise my own finger in an even more dismissive manner. |
