I am not sure about you, but it wasnt something that I trained for when I started out. I got it just by doing all the things right, training, diet and cardio, since then I have basically maintained it |

No i dont have the discipline to get my diet that right and just eat for fuel also hate cardio unless it has a purpose like a rugby game or football game too old for that amount of effort |

The most uncomfortable night of my life was the night I slept on the chest of a guy who had a six pack! The guy I’m into now has a soft and squishy torso and it’s much nicer to snuggle |

My reason for not having a six pack was purely down to boxing.
When I was a bit flabby around the stomach I could absorb more punishment and seem to have better stamina going late into fights.
When ripped I always felt drained and struggled |

"I'd like one and have had 1 in the past. Gets harder with age just due to being busy all the time. Hopefully next year its the return of my 6 pack"
You already have a six pack
Wish I could get one, but food is too nice and I don't know what I'd do about the gym lol. One downside to the weight is being turned down / ignored so much lol |

I think it's a good sign of having your diet somewhere near healthy and the correct portion sizes. Looks good and I personally hate it when I see it slipping away towards dad bod but bloody hard to maintain in your late 50s so many bad habits with food, not enough exercise etc, for me I like the benefits of the hard work but can easily see why others are not fussed, it doesn't make you a different person although on here I think it's the first thing someone will notice and at least give a male a chance. |

Not really, it’s an aesthetic but not at all functional. I’d rather be ‘real World strong’ than ‘gym bunny strong’
Once I was moving flat and a female friend hoisted a tumble dryer down a flight of stairs into a van by herself but she couldn’t bench press for shit or do a sit up. Conversely I have had muscle marys who couldn’t pick up a small box of books but could bench 120kg
A 6pack is something that looks good but it doesn’t replace a fat bank account and/or a personality |

No, I love distance running and it’s something I struggle to get back to a decent distance and time, currently.
However when I could easily run 10 miles plus I didn’t have a wonderful body that was lean and muscular, it still had its flabby bits, but I could pace myself to a decent time for a 10k or half, my marathon times not so much.
No, give me back my ability to run for two hours non stop and still be able to do things that same day as well. You can keep your six packs. |

No I was fortunate to have a six pack during my 20s and 30s but that was down to my work and sport. Whilst I looked good the effort it took made me question was it all worth it. When I chose to retire from my sport it was a relief and funnily enough I discovered my love for it again. |

Yes wanted it but dont tend to have a ripped 6 pack until i cut up and go strict with my diet pre summer (ripped abs are built in the kitchen)
i do find on here when i display my ripped torso on my display i attract slimmer women and when i have my winter slightly padded torso up i attract curvy women.

Never bothered me, having a slightly higher bodyfat around 18% is more beneficial for powerlifting/strongman at least for me.
Although being injured now and not being able to lift heavy, my calories have dropped and 6 pack is coming through. |

"Would be nice but couldn't be bothered with the effort to maintain one ." Yes, it is an effort to maintain it too, but I like the challange of it. I dont follow any macro breakdows, all I make sure is that I reach my daily calorie limit |

Not for me.
I spend better time elsewhere than stuck at training just for a 6 pack.
Though it wouldnt be good for my job either.
Different weights and ackwardness of materials is not like a bar with weights upon it.
they maybe be able to lift more bar weight than me and have a good laugh about it.
I get the laugh back when they cant carry what I carry |

Never intended to get them, I just wanted to better myself physically and mentally through exercise, and over time, they just emerged from the exercise and dieting. |

I don’t know to be honest and it’s going to take me an age to ask them all. Do you mind if we go with “some men have a six pack” and view that as a conclusive result? It will save a lot of polling.

I have a low or very low body fat percentage so almost have a 6-pack by default. It's not a goal or objective, it's more because of the sports I do. If I let up it goes, if I've completed or dehydrated it's very obvious but not something I have on the list of "I must have/maintain." I enjoy my sports and that's what motivates me and gives me the endorphins. |

Once upon a time I would have liked to have one, I was toned but never what I'd call a 6 pack.
These days I just don't have the motivation. I'll keep fit and as healthy as I can with exercise and diet but not to the point that will require me to focus on it for the sake of a 6pack |

I said today to my friend. I wish 2 stone would just drop off and then I promise to be good for the rest of the year |

I am a tall skinny guy. Not the body type that most women want. I still go to gym regularly. But my focus is to stay healthy. As long as I can do long hikes in a reasonable time without falling behind others, I am good. Never even thought about getting a 6-pack. |

But then what happens if you are not good, do you get the 2 stone back again? |

Yes! So it stops you from being bad. It’s a much better way of doing things |

Had one when I was younger there’s about a one pack now!
Appreciate a man with a 6 pack the effort that goes into getting and maintaining that is an achievement in itself but I do like a little squidge to rest my head on x

Not this one, fair play to those who do want one and are prepared to put the effort in though! Without being big headed I generally have a more preferable physique to most people I know, tall, slimish, big shoulders, massive hands and big strong legs, I don’t go to the gym, I do a lot of heavy lifting and ladder work every day! |

Don't want the six pack as much just flat stomach and the v- shape which I had but lost and desperately trying to get back the hardest part will be my diet and being 50 but nothing ventured nothing gained |

Lot of it genetics. I can be really lean with viens popping out all over the place but just outline on abs. My BJJ coach is 50 and has an 8 pack always and he is 100kg and only does BJJ. As others have said my training is for function not asthetics. |

Not really. I have always been skin but a bit of lockdown lard had appeared which I am slowly getting rid of. If I wanted a six pack I would train and get one, but never wanted to one that badly...I just like to keep the tummy in check and maintain a bit of muscle tone . |

It would be nice, but I accept that I do not have the dedication to do everything that is required to get one and maintain one.
So I will stick with the ‘Party 7’ that I have |

Last year I started after a long break from fitness to lose weight. Went from an overweight 16 stone to just over 13 stone. Haven’t looked that fit in years. Now I’m around just over 14 stone. I want to get to a gym fit body. Want to get an athletic physique. I want to get to a six pack. It’s not something you can maintain all year. But would like to reach that point and experience a six pack. It’s the end goal, but I’d be happy just having a toned body with a bit more muscles in my arms and legs. |

Meh not really , I've never been blessed with a good metabolism whilst I've always been muscular I've only ever been ripped for a short time in my life.
Despite being extremely active for most of my life, gym, running, swimming, aerobics, martial arts, yoga, climbing and walking at the height of my fitness training for ironman triathlons about 20 plus HRS a week I still struggled to get even a glimpse of my abs.
I already had a very strict diet and and active job.
I know that if I wanted a six pack I would literally have to live on boiled veg, streamed chicken and virtually no carb's.
Been there and done that.
But it makes for a very boring life.
Much rather be happy and fit if not slightly over weight.
Although these days thanks to my poor genetics and covid fucking me up I'm more than slightly over weight but I'm over 50 who am I trying to impress?
