Latin - A truly beautiful language and one which we should try our utmost to preserve.
With this in mind and especially since it is scientifically proven that any who utilise said language are guaranteed to get sex on tap, here are some examples for you all to use on FAB in order to woo the opposite sex:
Latin: ‘fingere irrumabo?’
English: ‘Fancy a fuck?’
Latin: ‘pulchra tibi ubera!’
English: ‘You have great tits!’
Latin: ‘te, domine, et non coles foetidus’
English: ‘You sir, have a smelly penis.’
So there you have it everyone. It only remains for me to say, ‘atque multiplicet te egredientur!’
(Go forth and multiply!) |

Latin is actually such a beautiful, logical albeit dead language as it is not spoken anymore.... anybody here who had to learn it at school?
We did and tbh, it did not do me any harm. Helps identify words I do not know and it also helps learning other languages. |

Yep I learned it at school along with French, Russian and German. It gives you the basis for learning a lot of other languages until you try Japanese and Greek |

Sadly didn't learn it at school, but am now studying with Open Uni, for a BA in Classical Studies and English Language. I wish I could read, write and speak it fluently because (& this might make me sound weird) I find it a quite a sexy language (as is modern Italian) |

I did Latin at school and I was quite good at it. Wasn't allowed to do it at 'O' Level as I wasn't in the right overall streamed class.
Can't remember any of it now and, weirdly, I was rubbish at French. |

Yes, classics with Latin! I loved the Latin but weirdly chose to keep up the classics to A level. Bad decision but my own.
I find it helps with spelling: so many words have Latin roots. |

Yeah, I spent 6 years at ma first Boarding School (aged 7-13) learning it. Although I know a lot of or language is derived from it, Agricola Iacto Hasta, hasn't really helped me much in later life though |
