Do you drink?
Regular cow milk (if so, which) or do you go for alternatives? (Goat anyone lol)
I stopped drinking cow milk for years and feel better for it, I now tend to either drink soya or oat milk. (Apparently they even make sweet pea milk lol)
I love the taste of both to be fair and always find cow to be way “heavier” tasting now x |

I drink plant or nut milk
My favourite is unsweetened KOKO.. I have it in tea, poridge, just to drink on it's own etc
I really like roasted almond milk, but it's too un-environmentally friendly for me to consider buying |

I'm about 50/50 cow (semi-skimmed), and oat milk. Though I am leaning more towards the oat milk, I really like it in coffee etc.
It's also a slightly better choice for the environment (less cow farts). |

No milk. Definetly not animal milk as I find the taste and everything about it disgusting.
Should really try the other 'milks' but by calling them milk puts me off. |

To be fair they are drinks as it’s mostly just actual water they just “emulate” milk |

Or by their colour. But then that sounds dodgy. 'I'll have a bit of white on my cereal.'
I'll attempt it this week. Maybe. |

"Is this where we have to pretend we are health freaks and environmentally friendly. I use cows milk. And lots of it"
Does using plant based milk make everyone a health freak? Genuine question. I use it because I don't like cows milk, makes me gag. |

I actually found it a lot easier to digest in my stomach than regular milk, I was super skeptical at first when I got told then I gave it a go and have to admit it is much better ..
Now I can’t drink cow milk at all. |

"Love oat milk in coffee
It’s the best in coffee as it really blends like Normal milk (while soy and almond tend to groom at the bottom) "
Seeing you sound like an expert, what would you have with oat muesli? I can’t do oat milk as it’s a bit of an oat overdose... |

I love normal (filtered Cravendale Bob or own brand) milk in tea - sorry nothing else will do in a good cup of tea.)
For protein shakes = coconut/ almond gives that exotic flavour
For coffee = almond milk (at only 13 kcals per 100 ml it makes sense)
The bulk of my milk consumption probably comes from plant milks, for flavour, health and environmental reasons. |

Personally I go for semi skimmed. According to this Oat is the most environmentally friendly alternative (and obviously more so than actual cow's milk) https://www.theguardian.com/environment/2020/jan/28/what-plant-milk-should-i-drink-almond-killing-bees-aoe |

I like milk, so I still drink it. But a statement in the film 'Food inc.' did make me question whether I should; it was along the lines of "why would you drink something that is designed to make something grow (quickly) to a huge size?".
Couldn't find the quote directly, but did find this https://www.thedailymeal.com/why-you-should-stop-drinking-milk-right-now/013014%3famp ...and now I'm questioning it again!! |

Agreed about shakes and smoothies! I use almond for mine.
I tried to like coconut but I find it wayyy too water
Any particular good brands u recommend? The alpro one is not a good one in my opinion for coconut |

There are certainly environmental benefits, especially if you were to use oat milk |

Semi skimmed cows milk. Not a fan of others that I’ve tried and I have tried various for better nutritional value etc. I’m open to changing if I find anything I like as much or better but not found anything yet |

I tend to use organic cow milk although I like oat milk I am not very fond of processed food and the expense puts me off as well. If I wanted to I could make my own oat milk from organic oats - it doesn't seem so very difficult, just a bit of a fuss. |

I drink semi-skimmed cow milk. Also, I read somewhere that soy milk or any soy based food in excess can lead to infertility. So be careful on your intake on that. |

It’s because of the pythoestrogens in soya but I mean, u would have to drink gallons and gallons of it every day for so long for it to affect your hormones level x |

Daily it's Uht skimmed because I can store it in bulk to save numerous trips to the shop. For a treat its whole organic cow milk or milkshake from the vending machine. |

I had to go dairy free for a few years due to my kids being allergic to proteins in cow's milk. The amount of products that have milk in them is shocking.
I dislike soya tasted wrong to me. Some of the diary alternatives are just wrong for the environment. I've kept oat milk for my porridge and everything else is cow's milk. My preference is from the vending machine from the farm up the road. Can see the cows in the field.

"Full fat cow's milk to stop osteopenia from getting worse I had a bone scan a while ago and it was loads better. Plus I use Jersey milk to make kefir "
Oh.. I'm not a doctor, but you might want to do some investigation.. I believe plant sources provide better calcium and protection |
