Or could be you’re sad about the football, or something else. Maybe you’re super happy this morning.

This is a thread to spread happiness, or to get cheered up.

Big cheer up hug to all, if like me, you are gutted about the football.

I've had just over 2 hours sleep, I'm aching all over and my eyes really don't want to be open when I'm in the most boring, sleep-inducing meeting in the world.

All cheer (and uppers) gratefully accepted (but no big booby hugs as I'd probably fall asleep the instant my head hit a lovely bosom).

I’m happy. Happy we got there and had the occasion. Happy I had a brilliant evening and night last night with the people I love. Happy it brought the country together when we needed it. Happy we only have to wait 18 months till the next time.

Not happy about the clean up needed in my house and garden today

To those upset about the football, it hurts now and may sting for a few days but we have a great young team with time to grow and improve. We have the Olympics coming up to give us that feel-good factor again and then the Premier League season starts and this will just be a bittersweet memory.

Have a great week all and keep your heads up

I didn't want football to come home anyway. It's been away for 55 years and thinks it can just casually wander back and all will be well?

On a brighter front i had a free coffee earlier as I'd filled my loyalty card

Somewhere In The Ether…

Here’s a joke that will cheer you all up (maybe)….

So……A random dude is walking down the street when he suddenly beholds what appears to be a pile of dog shit on the pavement before him (hey, I didn’t say this was a classy joke did I )

Anyhoo, upon spotting this frightful faecal apparition he exclaims, ‘Hey, that looks like dog shit!’

Getting down on his hands and knees he gives the brown mass a good sniff… ‘It smells like dog shit to.’ He muses.

Next he takes his index finger and gentle prods it. ‘It feels like dog shit!’ he says.

Finally, he sucks his finger; ‘It even tastes like dog shit!’ he declares.

Standing up once more, he finally proclaims, ‘It IS dog shit!’

…… ‘Lucky I didn’t stand in it!’
