Just had a man be incredably rude to me at work and when I told him I wouldnet be discussing anything with him until he spoke to me respectfully he replied me (with no sence of irony) 'you'll do what I tell you, don't you know who I am' I'm sorry sir I don't really care who you think you are, you have no right to speak to me like that . Where do some people get this over inflated sence of self from? It's really not hard to be a semi decent person |

Did you not consider he may have amnesia and be aimlessly wondering and you were his chance to get home? |

No he said I don't need to speak to you with respect you just need to do as I say, do you really want me to take this to your manager? to which I replied your talking with her and she won't be discussing anything with you until you calm down and talk to me like I'm a person so he stormed off like he couldn't understand why it wasn't acceptable to click your fingers in somones face and shout at them for no reason |

If I were in your shoes, I think I would have called my Manager and told him that you had a man with you who didn't know who he was. |

Haha actually I am very Submissive and I have an infinite amount of patience, I'm usually the one who everyone gets to deal with problem customers because I'm so chilled and un rufferable.... But I have 3 staff off with covid this week and been working 9-7 for 6 days on the bounce, probably not at my most friendly right now |

Unfortunately the world seems to be full of entitled pricks these days. Certain events of the last few years seems to have made things worse |

"Is he Ronnie Pickering?
Ronnie ‘effing Pickering! Forgot about that legend. "
I only heard about him last year and now it's the first thing I hear when someone says "do you know who I am?" |

I can be brutally direct on calls, these big companies have such bad customer care, systems and processes you have to be so focussed , pretend to be angry and sometimes brutal to get what you want . But I never make it personal or insult someone, and if they give me what I want I am then very nice to them |

He should have offered to buy you a glass of wine or 2 for lunch then approached you with the same question |

Apparently there was a whopping bid of £10 million for his now famous, red Citroen Xsara Picasso when he put it up for sale on eBay a few years back.
Unfortunately, they obviously didn’t know who he was though as it turned out to be a fake bid

"I've seen people like this in shops and airports. I once saw a man up in a check in woman's face at Gatwick shouting "you will get me on a flight".
Who the buggery bollocks did he think he was?
"
It's unreal the amount of crap people are expected to put up with, just because somone is in a customer facing job doesn't give anyone the right to get in there personal space and yell at them, I'm sure they wouldnet be vary happy to hear their daughter was getting yelled at by a grown man who felt the need to get in her face |

Exactly this! People can be vile sometimes. I always found it amusing when they asked for the manager after having a go at me only to realise they were already dealing with her. I'm sorry you had to deal with an entitled prick. Big hugs |

Probably the opposite to be fair. Likely intimidated and insecure in himself and felt playing the big man would resolve himself. Clearly picked the wrong person. |

Best response to that was at a boarding gate. The staff put an announcement out asking for anyone who knows this person, to remind him as he clearly has forgotten.
I know there are loads of clips on youtube, i never expected to hear it at Gatwick. |

Had the same one happen to me 30 years ago. Large shopping centre at Xmas time.
Customer came in, picked an item from the shelf, brought it to the counter.
Credit card failed scanning. Doesn't always mean it's stolen. Can be a bad "read".
Asked them to sign the counterfoil and they went ballistic.
"Don't you know who I am?", he said.
No. I did not. Not when you are wearing a fedora, dark shades, and a scarf wrapped around your neck and bottom of your face.
Fellow sighed and huffed and removed items of "disguise."
Cue gasps from colleagues around me.
Still not a Scooby Doo who he was.
Nudged by fellow staff member..."that's...that's"...almost faints.
Me ? Still no idea.
I asked him to sign the counterfoil as the card machine wanted an autograph as it was his biggest fan. He harrumphed and signed it then slammed the pen down on the counter.
Finished the transaction and he stormed off in a real huff.
Never like the fellow after that.
And I learned afterwards he was a major star of the UK's most popular Soap nonsense.
Complete Cock-Womble.
