Posh.
We don't do baked beans in separate bowls where I come from.
"
And this right here is why you are the man for me! |

I prefer it on a different pot so if I fancy it then I can dip my bread in it, I usually don’t eat the beans so… I prefer them kinda separate and it looks better on the plate ha |

In a cafe I think it it is quite curious and practical. Means you can place them where you like.
Not posh as it means they’ve been microwaves rather than an unique individual tin being heated up especially for ‘moi’ in a tiny little saucepan.

There was a geezer on one episode of, 4 In A Bed who marked down the overall score based purely upon the fact that he didn’t like having his beans served in a bowl(!)
Mind you, the other contestants got their own back and deliberately marked him down on the subsequent visits, stating that they preferred the beans loose ![](/icons/s/razz.gif) |

Beans in a pot is just wrong. Needs to be on top of your fried bread, then egg on top of the beans, then brown sauce on top of that so, when you cut your egg the runny yolk goes through and you have a fork full of eggy, beany, sauce mix and the cruchy feel of the fried bread!
And I wonder why I'm overweight! ![](/icons/s/eek.gif) |

"I'd say pretentious. However, if my hash browns go soggy I'm very annoyed, so maybe this would solve that problem lol"
See I have the sound disliking for soggy hash browns. This is easily solved however with strategically placed bacon and sausages. ![](/icons/s/cool.gif) |

I've been told to tell you that sausages can be used as a break water between the eggs and the rest. I've probably said that wrong, but he's welcome to bite me. |

It's a good idea. You may want to mix them but it should be your choice . |

"Always separate, I can't deal with beans contaminating everything else
Then why have beans at all? A beanless fry up is still worthy. "
Because I love beans but hate other things tasting of beans ![](/icons/s/mrgreen.gif) |

There and to the left a bit |
Neither pretentious nor posh just a way to serve them that caters to those that don't like the bean juice mixing with other things and those that do (who can just upturn the pot of beans onto the plate)...win/win I'd say ![](/icons/thumb_up.png) |

Dunno about pretentious or posh, plain f#@king annoying is what I would call it - and that goes for all meals served using multiple bits of crockery (except soup - I don't want that on the same plate as the toast)

I fucking hote pots of things on my plate...its just fucking pointless
The first thing I do when thd waiter leaves is tip it all out on to thd plate anyway. In fact sometimes I send the empty pots back with said waiter. |
