I think the fact that I like all of these answers must be a contender for the height of stupidity

This wasn't really Einstein's field though

I recently saw a dash cam video off a guy cycling slowly in front off a car, the guy on the bike at some point decided it would be a good idea while approaching a turning point/bend to proceed to turn his head around to shout some abuse at the car behind him...

Oblivious to the danger ahead needless to say when the cyclist finally faced his head forward where it should have been in the first place paying attention to the road it was too late and he ended up crashing into a parked vehicle and fell off his bike..

Hmmmm a painful lesson in road side safety indeed was learned

Driving under a bridge marked clearly LOW BRIDGE in huge letters in a VERY HIGH vehicle, or while transporting a giraffe.

The height of stupidity (cannot remember who coined it) is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results from the action.

Bit like my opening a bottle of red, telling me I wont drink it all and acting all surprised when it is empty.

I just cleared the muck out of the bathroom sink by unscrewing all the plumbing underneath. Having filled a bucket with horrible black sludge I had nowhere to put it so I tipped it down the plug hole… without having replaced the plumbing. Totally filled the vanity cabinet beneath with stinky water.

That was pretty stuuuuuupid.

I fear the really stupid bit is publicly admitting to having done it!

"I fear the really stupid bit is publicly admitting to having done it!"

You live you learn, point is no one was effected by it or nothing major or severe happened aside from maybe a foul smell being left and a mess...

Other then that we all make mistakes and have things happen in life, nothing stupid about admitting to it if anything it shows character..

Attributed (now thought wrongly) to Albert Einstein
