What movie robots do you think were terrifying?
The T-800 Terminator will always be scary especially when it comes out of the fire near the end of the first movie proving that even without it's skin, it will still keep on coming until it gets you.
Maximilian from Disney's The Black Hole is also intimidating with it's red eye visor and will not hesitate to kill if you are a threat or trying to escape. |

"Ok technically not a movie but there is an episode of Buffy the vampire slayer called Ted. John Ritter plays a robot in it, now that still makes me feel very uneasy"
There was also a great episode in the 1990’s reboot of The Outer Limits starring the always superb, William Sadler featuring a psychotic, jealous female android. |

There was an 80s film with Tom Selleck fighting robot spiders that injected people with acid. Nobody seems to recall this film called Runaway but it was pretty tense by the end.
Other notable mentions:
The woman at the end of Superman 3 which I am comforted so many others found terrifying as a kid
Replicators from Stargate SG1
Black Mirror episode called Metal head with the robot security dogs. (so very close to current tech.)
