Getting a buzz from gaming

When I was younger I used to video game quite a bit (mostly single-player FPSs). I could get lost in one for hours, get irritable if someone tried to disturb me and get a real buzz going in my mind.

I've just spent a few hours playing Fortnite with my nephew and I got a slightly milder version of the buzz back with irritability. And Fortnite is not a game I particularly enjoy (or any good at).

Who else gets a buzz (or high) from video games?

Not anymore.

I miss it but just can't get it back.

Somewhere In The Ether…

I must admit that I don’t get the same buzz on games as perhaps years gone by but I do still enjoy them.

I’m loving Verdun and Tannenberg at the moment

I did playing Star Wars Galaxies years ago, but not even playing the SWGEMU emulator does it for me these days

Not sure about a buzz.

I do enjoy getting lost in a good single player story though. Not that too many of them exist these days

Medal of Honour - War fighter.

Single player campaign was immersive.

Have done. By far the best story driven game to come out in the past couple of years. Just waiting on the directors cut now.

Depending on the game and the outcome I can either get a buzz, a real high, a nervous near heart attack, or just bored
