Somewhere In The Ether…

Ahhhh….the 1970’s; A truly fantastic decade for films!

We had the big Summer blockbusters such as Jaws which made us all terrified to go into the water, Star Wars, which made us all want to own a light sabre and Saturday Night Fever which made us all yearn to don groovy bell bottoms and boogie on down on a multicoloured dance floor.

Then we had the glorious slew of disaster movies: The Towering Inferno, The Poseidon Adventure and Rollercoaster.

Animals turned upon us all in The Killer Bees, The Swarm and Grizzly and there were conspiracies aplenty in such classics as, Capricorn One, The Parallax View, Marathon Man and All The President’s Men.

Please list your favourite seventies movies here good folks

Was born in the 70s and absolutely loads of brilliant films amd music made in that decade. On film it looks a very sexy , exciting era and great fun although real life was probably very unglamorous and mundane particularly in the UK.

Thunderbolt and lightfoot is a great shout, the blaxploitation movies were good and bruce lee films. Bridge too far possibly the best war film ever made and obviously jaws.
