Today I worked a lot. Booked a taxi to take me 20-odd miles to collect a hire car. It came 50mins late (  ), only got to the hire place with 5min to spare and discovered that despite it being a Vauxhall SUV thingy, I still had to put the seats down to get the wheelchair in

Today underlined why I need a bloody car. Without the taxi (which could come at its leisure), I was completely unable to travel the 20-odd miles. Anyone who supports pricing cars off the road should try travelling by wheelchair  |

Uber haven't really ventured into this part of GM. You get the odd one that's ventured from the big urban areas on a weekend but they head back to the concrete jungle pretty quickly! It's good old phone a taxi and hope here. We also don't have Uber Eats, Deliveroo or similar! |
