With the whole football obsession going on these days ( which really pisses me off by the way ) and knowing there are a lot of women that find football players attractive, I'm curious to know what male athletes (you think) have the best bodies (or you find attractive)?
Football players
Rugby players
Fighters ( boxers/mma fighters)
Basketball players
Runners
Divers/swimmers
Tennis players
Gymnasts
Also we are talking about athletes, not regular people and what is subjectively considered attractive in a man ( you are all sexy! ) |

"Rugby players all day. Thicc thighs, big arms, rough and tumble lads, strong, fast, athletic
This.
Good rugby players have excellent all round fitness and strength.
So do fighters"
They tend to lack the mental agility that many rugby players have though. |

I would very much debate that..but I respect your opinion |

Thick thighs are one of my weaknesses, so of course I needed a closer look!
There wasn't a fire burning before but there is something smouldering now |

Fighters for me especially MMA and jiu jitsu fighters. Not sure about mental ability comment either. I train with MMA fighters and jiu jitsu fighters almost all very intelligent. |

As an addition, I think there's a difference between admiring physique and being sezually attracted/drawn to one.
I admire and appreciate the hard work and dedication that goes into certain bodies. I think wow, that has taken serious hard work and discipline to achieve that.
On the other hand, another athletic body type may appeal on a more primal level. |

Those thick thighs are the better to pick us up when we're weak at the knees |

See, it's not all about the body. I have to find the face attractive too. OP, your body looks amazing, but I'd need the face to decide if I was attracted.
Sooooooooo, it's not about the sport, it's about the package (not necessarily THAT package )
I've rarely found footballers attractive, possibly because I'm very invested in the sport and focus on the actual game? Same with athletics and basketball (mainly of the wheelchair variety).
There are some gorgeous wheelchair basketball players, in particular Steve Serio, Tyler Saunders (check his strength out!) and Patrick Anderson isn't bad either..... |

Overall I really like footballers bodies. I think they are quite toned, athletic without being too overly muscular. Usually a good height too …
Swimmers also have amazing bods |

"Darts players. The male body at the peak of physical condition.
Expert at multitasking too, takes skill to hold a pint and throw a dart "
Stereotypical old school opinion.
Take a look at Gerwyn Price. |

Doesn't really matter what sport they do but I tend to like the sailing, surfing outdoor type of guy.
A natural, healthy looking guy or girl not gym toned, doesn't do it for me, all starts to get a bit false.
The ability to string a sentence together is a must too. |

Love MMA fighters, athletic, agile, using speed and strength, but also the thought process that it takes to anticipate their opponents move and which particular fighting technique will counteract that.
Obviously the thought process applies to most athlete, but I love the combined fighting skills of MMA fighters x

Much as I think your physique OP is heavenly, as with most of the replies here, I prefer a rugby player... Large hands, strong thighs and neck, tall and strong... Yum.. |

GAA players
Hands down,
The sport (football) requires total body development from your eyes to your toes, much like rugby but each player kicks and at speed, but its way faster so the guys and Gals mastering it are at their peek.
I guess most here would have to Google it. As for hurling
Well its a warriors game, and the fastest field game on the planet, so those guys /Gals are ripped especially these days as the training has evolved.

Personally, if we're talking headless body shots, I lean toward lighter, leaner builds - still some muscle, but not hugely bulky. Very generally I think that applies to swimmers, dancers, cyclists, runners, and I know applies to rugby backs . Probably basketball players too, but that's just a ridiculous height combo |

I think when people talk about liking a Rugby players physique the level of rugby they play at should also be added. 2nds, 3rds and social rugby players really look nothing like those playing for 1st teams and above. |

Same, but I'm married to someone who's 6ft 4 and lost my virginity to a guy who is 6ft 7, so I seem fine with the basketball heights |

Apologies my friend, I had no idea my profile or profile picture would intimidate (or make anyone feel inferior). Regardless of what the objective of this post was or is, you stating all the above does nothing for you, but make you look slightly jealous.
I do hope you find your happy place eventually. All the best |

I thought there was humour in his post, you may of course be right and it was based on jealousy but assuming you intimidate others and make them feel inferior is a bit dickish, coming out and trying a put down like that on a public forum
To answer your question, I prefer a lean athletic look on a guy as opposed to heavily muscled. Lots of sports promote this but I guess the ones where bulk/mass carries a penalty are the ones most likely to achieve it so sprinters/gymnasts/swimmers etc.

Yes my reply was definitely passive aggressive...and I fully own up to it. However many people on the site are scared to post anything on the forums, specifically because of nasty comments they might receive...and I felt his comment was one of them. I do not know what the purpose of his comment was other than a sarcastic attack on the post and on my profile (fueled by jealousy). |

Not necessarily a sport but the work that goes into being a pro wrestler is intense.
Strength, cardio has to be excellent especially if the match is going long and you have to condition your body for taking the damage. |

Christ people are sensitive here. It was obviously (to me anyway) that it was a fucking joke. Butthurt is as butthurt was. You got a good body, great, good for you. Well done, it takes a lot of hard work. Just don't be so fucking sensitive, especially on someone else's behalf. |

"Dancers and rock climbers for me!
Climbers - those forearms "
Wasn't expecting that. I think climbing tends to be a mixed one, body mass is a huge penalty so it tends to favour very lean body types with minimal muscle bulk even if what is there is incredibly toned/defined. As you say the exception is the forearms which end up proportionately much larger. I love that feeling of pump in my arms after a good climbing session
