What important things have you forgotten before?
I got to the school gates this morning and realised it was inset day I've had to phone work and book/waste a days holiday because I have no childcare planned |

Same here. I rarely forget things as I like to plan ahead.
What I may do is make assumptions though, so things like going into the GPs surgery for a telephone appointment... |

I know, did wonder off for a cup of tea mid way. It was only after an hour did I think to check I had the right day. I did just wrong week.
