He did it!!!!

By (user no longer on site) OP     over a year ago

My son did it!!!! He won!!! Something. We had been working towards for the last 3 years!!!! He took the exams last week and he won!!! One of 14 boys amongst hundreds around the World.

He doesn’t know yet but I was informed. I am bursting with pride and joy that my cup runneth over into the Forum because I don’t really have anyone else to share it with.

Sorry, this is an anti-rant. Peace.

Thank you, thank you, thank you everyone.

I took the exams 40 years ago but just missed out on the 14. All he has wanted to do was follow in my footsteps and today, he beat his old man and I couldn’t be more proud to lose.

Not sure yet. He boards in school. No celebration tonight but I’m going to the school for him to tell me. I don’t know how I’m going to feign ignorance and act surprised.

Just think of having sex with Margaret Thatcher a few minutes before you see him.

Congrats to him for succeeding and you for supporting. Clap clap clap.

So pleased for you both.

All that hard work has paid off handsomely. Now relax, and have some time out before the hard work starts

That's fantastic news. Bursting with pride over something your child has done is one of THE best feelings.

Enjoy your celebrations.

Thank you everyone. He really did work hard for it and was so excited to tell me. That run up with the huge smile on his face and the way he threw his arms around me was one of those moments a parent will never forget.

I’m floating on cloud nine tonight. I wish I could spread the joy to those who aren’t having as light a time as I am at the moment.

It’s lovely to share it with you all, strangers, though, we may be. I just wanted to share my joy and hope it is a little infectious. I simply can’t contain it.
