If you empty the resulting contents onto a plate it even looks pretty classy to….sort of.

When the fatigue hits me I cook pasta and chuck a stock cube in the water sometimes to flavour it. Chop up mushroom (not cooked I like them raw) , tomatoes, ham and sprinkle over the cooked pasta, then top with grated cheese and bung it in the microwave to melt it.

Easy and filling. Not sure it ticks the healthy box but it's better than takeaway.

Take two slices of toast and toast them. Put one slice on a plate, cover the toast with fried bacon, then with a slice or two of cheese. Put the other toast on top and microwave for 30 seconds to melt the cheese.

Chop up potatoes into small pieces and steam cook. I have a microwave steamer that does the job. Put tin of vegetable soup in large bowl with a sprinkle of curry powder and micro for 1 min, stir, then another minute. Add potatoes and with 'crusty' bread, makes a decent stew.

"Chop up potatoes into small pieces and steam cook. I have a microwave steamer that does the job. Put tin of vegetable soup in large bowl with a sprinkle of curry powder and micro for 1 min, stir, then another minute. Add potatoes and with 'crusty' bread, makes a decent stew."
