Arrogance is the belief that you’re the best or very good at something, if it’s a belief then you wouldn’t be dissuaded of it, so a person can’t really catch themselves in their own arrogance.
Ego is a different thing though and it’s something that everyone has. Having anxiety generally keeps my ego ground down to the nub |

If I was graphing the arrogance of my life, i'd like to think it'd be bell shaped.
Just because someone points a finger and calls someone arrogant doesn't mean it's true.
It would serve some people well to look inwardly.
Arrogance is not always a bad trait. It's just used as a general pejorative in today's psychobabbled, populist 'expert' society.

I think I come across as confident and not arrogant, as I’ll happily accept my weakness as much as my strengths. I don’t think arrogant people are willing to accept they’re not absolutely brilliant at everything. Yes I’m looking at you Donald Trump |

"I am arrogant on certain things. "
Are you though ? Aren't you just good at the things you do and recognise your talents ?
What do you think is arrogant ? Cos knowing what you are good at isn't arrogance........
You don't hear Dragon's Denner going ....... Oh God I Couldn't Sell a Pork Chop to a Starving Dog...
They know they are good and they sell themselves....
That's not arrogance to me. |

Being good at something can come off to some people as arrogance. Knowledge skills ect... |

I know but that's not the fault of the person who is good at it. Only if they use it to belittle others. It really isn't arrogant to be proud of achievements .....
Not in my 'always right and better' book. |

Arrogance or self assurance?
Tough one - but I think a lot of people might confuse my sarcastic arrogance for real...
Like said above, I think it depends on who’s around you at that moment & how they feel in themselves. I want to be sarcastic about it & for them to rip me to shreds & vice versa.
But most of the time I’ll be reserved & just avoid being myself. Learned in the corporate world.

Yeah I’d say so - all depends on your confidence on that subject or whatever as you’ll just look like a dik if not.
There is a rare occasion you’ll meet a know it all... that’s a funny one! |
