"I’m bi, I’m happy with over or under.
I can’t bear seeing an empty tube on the roll holder though. Grrrrrrr "
Agreed! There is very little as sad a sight in this world as an empty loo roll on the holder. My heart truly sinks when I see it (before the inevitable panic sets in...) |

"OP what happens if you have a bidet toilet
then? Any need for a toilet roll?
Do you use a squeegee to get most of it off before water blasting? "
Oh my sides hurt |

"Over, and it's actually illegal to leave a partly torn sheet!"
If it isn’t illegal, it should be.
I’ve tried just walking away. Even got to the door once but then ran back. I can’t leave even a wisp of an uneven tear |

It says people wash their feet in Bidet's apparently and it's quite common.... For god's sake tell me whyyyyyyy?......
In the spirit of the post OP, I just plonk my toilet roll on top of the cistern lid and if I'm feeling extra bendy when I break out a new one I put it on a vertical loo roll holder - but I need to limber up 1st..... None of this over or under malarky. However, no straggly bits of loo paper on my watch than you very much!
Am I bit too blokey in my approach? |

Over is correct according to the hospitality industry due to hygeine, but under is far neater according to perfectionists like me, as it prevents the roll from sliding out of alignment.
With regard to hygeine and the risk of getting dirty walls, well anyone who might have dirty hands when retrieving the paper should not be using an indoor toilet anyway.
There I've had my say. Laure
(NB the OH firmly disagrees with me) |
