Empathy is a good one.
Going through hell but still being able to help others. You know how bad things can be and if I see someone in the same situation, I can’t not reach out.

My fiancé. He gives me the space I need to learn and grow in discovering who I am, supports me, makes me laugh and challenges me intellectually when I'm coasting by (even if he does irritate the fuck out of me by beating me at Scrabble).
Without him I wouldn't have softened in the way I have, I would still be prickly and short and cruel. He's taught me to love unashamedly and shown me that I'm deserving of love as well.
I wouldn't be the woman I am becoming if it wasn't for him.

Empathy is something I think that makes us human.
Education and learning from mistakes are actions to take away.
Self reflection help stop us acting like self righteous martyr’s looking to be offended or self involved. |

Everyone's got potential, recognising the difference between people who are challenging me for my benefit vs those who are only interested in bringing me down (because they've not developed themselves), and not being afraid to call them out when I need to, but mostly just avoiding those types and spending more time with the good ones. |

An old boy I worked with back in the day told me "if you make a mistake, and you will, admit it straight away and don't try to his it". I've lived by those words ever since and they have served me well. M X |
