It clearly works, you look great on it. Cycling would be my main exercise but at the mercy of the weather. I go for a stiff walk each day. I have a set route that I must do in 31 minutes. So good for my legs but need to do something for upper body.

At the moment, not enough! It's mainly horse riding and any wheelchair pushes I can get in when the weather isn't horrific.

In normal times, I go to the gym mainly to lift weights (seated or reclined). I play wheelchair basketball competitively. I join a local road running club on 5 or 10k "runs" - they run and I push. In the summer, I took myself on long off road adventures in the chair for 5 or 6hrs at a time (very challenging in a manual chair!)

Horse riding is definitely more than just sitting there, yes. Something non riders don't realise

The chair can be a good workout yes, but it's also a pain in the arse in wet weather, on broken/pot holed pavements, where there's no dropped kerbs etc. It can be very annoying

I am unfair and incredibly lazy arsed fuck when it comes to structured exercise. I just can’t bring myself to do it. I find it dull.

I swim when I’m up early enough, really not very far and definitely not fast. I walk to and from work each day which is a 5mile round trip, but that’s it.

Llanelli

Today 28,686 steps, emptied loads of barrows of horse crap, piss and straw, carried the water containers and emptied the old unused, layed new straw and carried about 60 feed buckets to fields.

Oh and swept the stables

No real need for gyms or home workouts

"Walks, 3 day splits for strength training and crossfit wods for conditioning everyday

So disappointed that you didn't mention any barbell exercises "

Missed a trick there didn't I!? But I detest rack pulls so at least I've mentioned one barbell exercise

"I am unfair and incredibly lazy arsed fuck when it comes to structured exercise. I just can’t bring myself to do it. I find it dull.

I swim when I’m up early enough, really not very far and definitely not fast. I walk to and from work each day which is a 5mile round trip, but that’s it.

I need a gym Dom, someone to encourage me in an exercise routine

Lex"

5 miles is a good walk!

I don't drive so walk everywhere.

Do go to the gym when they are open, love swimming , ice skating and am known to ride a horse once in a while.

My passion is Jive tap dancing which I'm rubbish at but enjoy.

Wow just realise I sound super fit but I'm totally not

my job, it involves alot of moving, walking, carrying, lifting, pulling, pushing, using every muscle and brain. you eat and eat all day too but gain no weight due to its pure exercise work all day non stop.

work is a gym at my work place.

I'm in a good routine at the moment, training CrossFit 5 mornings a week and gymnastics twice a week, in the evenings.

I was never a fan of the gym, butvgot into doing classes about a year and a half ago.

"My exercise involves my slendertone and walking back to the cupboard for more chocolate

I owned 2 slendertones and just found they weren't powerful enough, not sure if it was them or me which was broken."

I think it depends on which one you have and how often you change the pads to be fair, mine doesnt work to bad to be fair

"Normal work out ruteine just now

3 set off 8 standing overhead behind the neck miltery press

3 sets off 8 L shape pull ups

3 sets off 8 normal pull ups

3 sets off 8 barbell rows

3 sets off 8 bench press

3 sets off 8 dumbbell side bends

Drop set sit ups 50 sit ups with wight normal totally to 300 sit ups

Weighted dips

Then barbell curles

And then alternate days off dead lifts or squats to finsh up

Normal a 2 hour 30 work out time

"

Why would you do this?

Tbh its a bit mixed up...

Do your back workouts on another session to your shoulders for a start...why stop at 8 reps for all those exercises..

Pullups...and bodyweight stuff gor that matter...go to failure each set..your body and CNS can recover fast with bodyweight.

Alternate and give body parts a few days rest...do your main compound exercises then if you want throw in somr fillers...you really wont need much if any core work if your hitting your compound moves with alot of intensity and weight...hope this helps

Paid through the nose for some kit before lockdown 2 but I'm a self employed PT and get no furlough, so it's been worth it as I can at least take PT sessions outside. As well as been able to keep training myself. I really think I'd of lost it completely this time around had I not got any kit.
