Sand, sea, the smell of fish and chips, hot donuts, the sound of the waves, the sound of people and children having fun, the feel of the sand on your feet and the waves.
I've got my bikinis ready. Who's coming?
Cocktails in a nice bar after?
(when it gets hotter and we're able to of course)
What do you miss?

Mostly this, but probably a less commercial beach without the fish n chips & donuts (although maybe on the way home! ) and reasonably secluded. |

"Beaches, twisty roads on my bike and the gym, absolutely bursting to get back out there"
Being on the back of a motorbike on a glorious sunny day is definitely a hit for me. I love that. |

I wanna smell that holiday evening smell. You know when your abroad and your walking to dinner and it smells like warm tarmac, Hawaiian Tropic, grilled sea food and all the crickets are chirping |

All being well and if the sun compiles I'll be on the beach sometime next month. I'm lucky to be surrounded by beaches, my favourite is a ten min drive away I can't wait to strip off and get willy tanned again. |

Yuk, my idea of a beach is certainly different to yours... but yes I desperately miss the beach, tanning, swimming in gentle waves and delicious fresh seafood accompanied with fragrant white wine. |

Well I'm used to staying in the UK for various reasons and have have only ever been to France, Spain, and Prague once each.
I would be nice to experience something more exotic. But unfortunately I've not been able to so far.

I'm with you OP in that I'm really missing the coast. I don't get to go often but I normally go a few times a year. I miss look at the sea and listening to the waves, walking along the sand. I always feel totally at peace and relaxed when I'm beside the sea.
I know many people have broken lockdown and travelled to the coast, but we haven't.
Mr has promised he will take me as soon as lockdown and work commitments allow. |

Living by the Sea has its bonus, I suppose.
Two stroke oil, screaming exhaust notes. |

a quandary, could you change my mind? |
I've been lucky enough to have been able to take a walk or two along the beach over the last year even watching the sun set on an almost glass like sea. "Very calming and thought clearing"
As for what I really miss, that would be an embrace. I want a hug ! . |

Well, if you’re offering ... there’s space in a room on an island later this year, and I’d quite like to have someone I could tie to the balcony railings and, well, I’ll let you use your imagination, it’s more fun that way |

Prefer lowestoft. Its less commercial and quieter and the beach is sandy. |

You have a deal if you promise more time on the beach than tied to railings.... That would just be cruel to be able see it and not touch it. |

Don’t worry, there’ll be ample opportunities to see it and touch it. Oh, you mean the beach - my bad |

There is a beach on the North Antrim coast over two miles long framing the wild Atlantic Ocean in its every mood from gentle lapping waves to boiling rage. Invariably deserted, complete freedom beneath never ending skies that glow golden in summer evenings until complete black night descends.
A place to walk to sit and watch the last rays of the day fade into night. A place where my dogs ran freely in and out of the surf...
A place of myths legends stories and dreams.
That beach my home for many years, its still there though I'm gone, my dogs just beautiful memories...
Do I miss that beach.... |

"I live near the beach so I have been walking there for exercise .... some days.
Summer will be good when it gets busy again. "
I've envied people who live in nice areas, like seaside places or in the countryside. By the time I've walked to my local park I need a wee, a sit down and a cup of tea and they don't have toilets.
