Go on start a trend, make up a believable conspiracy theory, let’s see who can come up with the most outrageous, but believable one...
Here’s one to start...
US government are covering up the truth behind the moon, the fact is they never will go back as hostilities between nasa and an alien race over sovereignty of the lunar landscape escalated in the 70’s... |

Ha ha - Actually, I think that conspiracy actually already exists, or at least something very similar.

The Amazon Rainforest.
Did you know that an area the size of Switzerland is cut down there every single day?
Well - don’t feel sorry for it anymore, because you see, trees are not only sentient but bloody evil entities to and are on the march, having uprooted themselves and subsequently left a path of carnage in the Amazon Basin.
The truth is that the US military have been desperately waging a war against these aggressive trees in the Amazon which has been raging for years! |

There and to the left a bit |
The year Leicester City won the Premiership was the closest the FA have come to revealing their true involvement in performance enhancing drugs testing that they run for the MoD (who are seeking ways to make better soldiers) - the Leicester players were that years "guinea pigs" and received the drugs in their pre-match meals and half-time oranges.
The revealing of the conspiracy was narrowly avoided when the country took the team to heart as "plucky underdogs" and willed them to the title oblivious to the fact they had been "helped".
