Adequate sleep, nutrition, water intake are all very important and a specific training programme for your goals would be good. |

Far better looking for info on YouTube.. but the basics are: go on google find a TDEE calculator use it to work out (guesstimate your calories to maintain the weight you are).
After this... eat around 300-500 calories less dependent on how fast you want to lose weight (slower the better as you’re less likely to binge eat and keep to the plan)
Workout... find a split that works for you... if you can train 3 days a week do a full body workout split. If you can train 5 days a week do a push pull legs split.
Also track steps... aim for 10k a day |

Yep that's a good start. Might need a bit more than 1 litre of water a day. Eat protein and weight train. |

It depends what result you want to have, you have to train hard and follow a diet supporting the goal, to bulk eat abit more and to cut eat less, you also have to track the calories for the best result, use an app for that, it is all about calories in v out, remember that it will take time, it will be fun to do |

It's hard to say but I drink 3-4 litres a day. I would say 2ish depending. I would speak to a reputable coach if you can. Pretty much what people have said on here. |

Just break it down into smaller chunks , might find getting an online coach useful to go through it with you also helps with accountability.
Quite a few people that I coach didn’t know a lot of the basics because the fitness industry is filled with misinformation and that “quick fix”. |

A guy at uni was obsessed with the gym and had a fit body but he likes boys.
He had muscles on top of muscles like really defined.
Then he started taking them shake things and supplements. Now he just looks fat and like a bubble lol
So he's actually training harder and paying money to look worse |

Hydration, regulates body temperature, helps with energy and reduces fatigue, helps your body absorb nutrients etc etc. |

There’s a myriad techniques to tone up.
As Swing said, resistance bands are very good as are calisthenics and free weights.
Combine these with cardiovascular exercises such as skipping, running etc and a good diet and most of all, enjoy your fitness journey |

Avoid lots of carbs, walk lots and do moderate but regular lifting.
Works for me if you consider my body to be fit that is.
I do have a high metabolism though so eat pretty much what I like as I burn it quickly but I also do 2 physically demanding jobs 6/7 days a week |

It's down to two things principally:
Eat appropriately
Exercise appropriately
Obviously you can get information you need about exercise at the gym.
I highly recommend going to see a nutritionist too. There are quite a lot around. Explain your goals and they can help you reach them. I did a few years ago and it did me an enormous amount of good. It really would be money well spent if you follow their advice. Luke |

Personally I wouldn’t overload yourself with every single aspect from the get go, for most this becomes overwhelming, soul sucking and they cannot maintain it long term. Start with small changes to your diet and exercise regimen, with the main goal to keep consistency and enjoyment. When it becomes a more stable part of your routine, then look to make more changes. That said everyone finds their own path, there’s no one method that works for everyone. |

Going to throw my 2p in here.
If you’re literally just starting all this then I 100% recommend getting a proper coach not a generic pt.
Most likely you’ll need to put some muscle on first, you can’t tone up muscle that isn’t there.
More muscle you have means the more food you’ll need just to maintain that size, also makes fat loss a lot easier.
Plenty of water, sleep a minimum of eight hours a night and stay away from anything that offer a quick fix. |

"What is the best way to get a fit body. "
I see you've further defined to be toned, without being too muscular. Okay... there is no silver bullet.
Eat less calories than you burn, or at least match the two.
Maintain a healthy diet. Cut out excess sugar, salt and fat.
Exercise, to build up stamina and cardiovascular fitness.
As Roy Castle used to say, dedication is what it takes. |

For me it was clean eating at every meal, no alcohol at all and taking up running alongside a weight routine. Running was the thing to get the flab off and reveal the muscles though. It’s an ongoing transformation.... 4 stone since March |

Someone who is physically fit means they have a fast recovery rate from doing physical activities stuff like running cycling swimming which means they can carry on again and again throughout the day. But the human body can only hold enough carbs for one hour of excessive physical activity that’s why endurance runners and cyclists refuel every hour.
To get a toned body you need a good diet with plenty of protein to build muscle with resistance training and cardio to burn fat
Carbs burn easer and faster than fat cut to train the body to burn fat before carbs can take some doing and can be dangerous for you |

A couple of my mates are pro bodybuilders and pro athletes in equal measures of natty and non natty and the number 1 thing they will all tell you above all else is DIET.
70% of how you look is diet, the rest is training, sleeping, supplementation.
It doesn't matter how genetically dispositioned you are to look like Thor eating pasties every day will make you look like Thor is Endgame.
Over eating is soo easy especially with carbs, I've know people say they are on low carbs and eating chicken with a ton of ketchup (insert face palm emoji). If you dont know whats going in then to expect amazing results is foolish.
Hard work pays off, unfortunately the hard work is learning how to eat and not the effort you put in at the gym. Durian Yates won Mr Olympic 6 times and trained for 1hr a day 4 days a week. He wasn't killing himself. He's an example of outstanding genetics and diet. His supplementation was the polish on top of what he built. I was at Body Power a couple of years ago and Phil Heath (7 times Mr Olympia) was asked about his diet and he said the one thing he hates the most is eating because he eats so much so tastless food, boiled chicken, veg etc all with no sauce of flavour. Thats the extreme. Its Important to enjoy what you do, if not you will fall off the wagon easily. Incorporate a cheat day at the beginning then wittle it down to a cheat meal once a week. |
