I read about this in the Readers Digest (yes that adult publication) earlier this year & in some countries you have to be careful as some hand gestures can be rude.
Iran and Afghanistan, the thumbs-up is equivalent to the middle finger!

If I sit on my hands I’m speechless. In fact movement helps me flow. Even when I’m presenting I have to keep moving as my memory appears to be in my muscles. Stop moving and my words don’t flow. |
