I was walking down a corridor today at work just thinking and people watching and I realised how fascinating men are. Now I know a lot of them are pooheads but there is also so much good in them too.
Here are a few things I love about them;
The little round bubble bums
The strong thighs
The line of hair that goes from the belly button to the naughty bit
The jawline
The stubble
A strong pair of arms
The deep sexy voices
The way they wear their pants
Big hands
What do you love about men? |

They like to fix things. Whether it be a best friends broken heart or that broken panelling in the fence. They roll their sleeves up and crack on.
Doesn’t always mean they CAN fix things, but they give it a go |

Yay a positive thread about men!
I love the way they reverse park with their sleeves rolled up and the back of their arm around the passenger seat. I think any man could bed me if he did that manoeuvre in the car.
I love the way they care and show you in such simple ways - from the blunt advice to the affectionate nicknames.
I love the way men laugh, proper deep chuckles when their eyes crease in glee and they throw their head back, tickled at their own wit.
I love the daft puns and dad jokes and ridiculous humour. And the way they dork out about anything they're passionate about - whether it's Spurs or mythos or gaming or anything really - men when their eyes light up are so attractive.
I love the V some men have. Their strong hairy arms.
And I especially love men because of the effect I can have on them and how good that makes me feel. |

"They understand the off side rule,.. and why it brings such joy to see man united beaten 6-1 by spurs, they understand this without explaining every thing "
Not all of us are thrilled about United being stuffed by Spurs
Agree with the sentiment though. We're tribalistic and simple creatures. Give us sport, beer and boobs, and we're all pretty happy |

"safety/security and the protector instinct..
Do you like a big pair of arms wrapping you up? "
yeah completely, i like a man to be taller for this also.
I am independent but i enjoy having a man 'take charge' and i enjoy almost being vulnerable just so i can enjoy his protective/dominant side..
he wants to protect whats his.. |

Yes! So many of the wonderful men in my life have been decrying their gender recently, and rightly so in many ways, however they dive into the guilt and disgust forgetting toxic masculinity is but one aspect of them, and that they are acknowledging this and doing better. Men are wonderful creatures and I adore them!
Also yes, the arm around the back of the car seat with rolled up sleeves! *swoons* |

There are so many things to love about men. And one of the greatest things is that no two of them are the same.
Yet in their own ways they can make us feel so good mentally, emotionally and physically. |

This might be a very unpopular opinion but thank you for saying this. Reading about the strong arms, big hands, deep voice, chiseled jaw etc while ideal, can't help but make me feel inadequate.
On the other hand, I'm sure women deal with this all the time from men in other threads so I can take the hit to the ego! |

What would ladies you do if you were faced with a guy that.....
Gets up at 5am to go gym
Does breakfast for you
Goes to work
Nips home at lunch to give you some pleasure or makes you a cracking cheese and pickle sandwich
Goes back to work
Comes back home and does dinner
Does the washing up without a dishwasher
Puts the bins out
Gives you a massage on tap
Does the home work with the kids and reads them a bed time story
Finishes off the day with some more pleasure, or another cheese and pickle sandwich
Can do all the DIY without a builder
Can reverse a car at 20 into a parking space without looking behind his shoulder
Lol

Finishes off the day with some more pleasure, or another cheese and pickle sandwich
Can do all the DIY without a builder
Can reverse a car at 20 into a parking space without looking behind his shoulder

"Yay a positive thread about men!
I love what you wrote. Perfect description. |

"Can I just say I don't find this post as positive as it has been pinned
The majority of posts have concentrated on physicalities / ideals whilst others have pandered to male / masculine stereotypes
It reads more like a womans wank mag than a realistic look at men " |

Good god man! I wrote it and can confirm I wasn't wanking. I just thought it would be nice to list all the things I like about men. No undertone of anything.
I think it has brought out a positive mixture of responses personally "
I'm sure you posted with the best of intentions Lily, I really am... the grammar and lack of spelling mistakes is also testament to the fact you weren't wanking either
I just feel that as the thread progressed, it turned into a list of clichés and stereotypes
As someone up there said, I had no doubt that my opinion may be unpopular and I think another poster said he thought it was more Mills & Boon than a wank mag. I think he was probably more accurate in stating that. |

Start a 'what men like about women' Thread and let's see what the comparable answers are. |

In a world in which we are gradually learning to unpick our objectification of each other, I think it is always worth pointing out when it is happening, even if the original intention was well meaning.

Well we could all just never post in fear of it offending someone or even better the 'men are so pushy and offensive' threads. |

I’m not offended. I think the men who have spoken out on this thread have done it with the aim of raising consciousness. |

I'm not offended in the slightest and I'm also acutely aware how some men on here speak about and objectify women, which I am also uncomfortable with.
'Some guys are actually pretty cool' would have been the anti-thread to the 'men are so pushy and offensive' thread, but you went for ideal physical attributes in a guy
Just look at some of the terms used in this thread, not only by you, but by others and it does read like 'you need this to be a man'
As I said before, I'm positive your intentions were good
I'm not butt hurt, my ego is secure; just that, for me, as it progressed, the thread missed its mark or got caught up in a kind of fantasy male thread

Give me a good sense of humour, great conversation, ability to attract me with your intelligence, be polite.
That’s the cake of the attraction, that isn’t women’s wank mag info, that’s sexy.
The other things are, for lack if a better term, frosting. If those other things are there that’s fine. If not, thats fine too.
I’m sorry if you’re offended. In no way was this thread meant to do so.

"I was walking down a corridor today at work just thinking and people watching and I realised how fascinating men are. Now I know a lot of them are pooheads but there is also so much good in them too.
Here are a few things I love about them;
The little round bubble bums
The strong thighs
The line of hair that goes from the belly button to the naughty bit
The jawline
The stubble
A strong pair of arms
The deep sexy voices
The way they wear their pants
Big hands
What do you love about men? "

This is one of the nicest things I have read. I particularly love the reverse parking analogy, I'm always going to have a little smile every time I reverse now. |

It's not just the obvious physical stuff - I love their practicality and ability to solve problems without getting emotional about it.

To be fair I turn the air blue doing most DIY tasks.
I was once asked if I was handy by a a neighbourhood friend’s mother. I replied “Yes, I live just round the corner.’ The look of disdain and eye-rolling was classic |
