Can't remember his name. Irish bloke, part of a finger missing, focussed a lot on religion. Sat on a stool smoking a tumbler of whiskey. Dave ?

Favourite?

A toss up between Billy Connolly & Eddie Izzard

I adore Julian Clary too - a very clever man, often overlooked

Of the current comics, I like Phil Wang

We have tickets to see him next April (fingers crossed)

I saw Alan Carr live once a few years back and I have to say I was crying with laughter.

I don’t really do jokes, I prefer being regaled with funny things that have happened to folk.

I saw him live in a pub years ago, before he was properly famous. I think he'd done 8 out of 10 cats a couple of times, but that was about all.

He was hilarious

I think Channel 4 has ruined his comedy, it comes across as just too scripted and forced

Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia is absolutely brilliant, especially the bit when Oliver tests the mallet on the bar before hitting Stan and then Stan's high pitch change in his signing!

There and to the left a bit

Billy Connolly

Robin Williams

Richard Pryor

Eddie Murphy

Of the old school superstar stand-ups

Of the lesser known..

Tim Vine

Bob Mills

And there was a very unique act I saw at Butlins one year who had me in tears and are worth keeping an eye out for..

Raymond & Mr Timpkins

An explanation of their act won't do them justice but it basically involves acting out songs and is hilarious

"..who's your favourite stand-up comedians, Mike Harding and Jasper Carrot for me, you?

"

For me Dave Chappelle by a country mile and in a league all by himself.

Bill Burr second.Pretty sure a lot of his material are verbatim conversations that occurred at one point or another.

Third, the rest.

For me, it is hard to argue anything Dave and Bill spout.
