I'm going with satumas. Just the smell and the taste reminds me of Christmas.

Sweet clems, the clementines in Asda at this time of year are lovely.

I had an incident in 2016 where one Wednesday evening I drove down to dreams to look at a new mattress (people may remember my dilemma when I was trying to chuck my old mattress away that had period stains on it!) Anyhow I was in the store and my belly didn’t feel right, couldn’t trust a fart.

I had to leave, drove the 20 minute journey back to my mums, almost shitting myself in the car. Got into my mums and guts exploded.

I asked my mum how that had happened and she said it’s probably all those clementines you’ve eaten and just left the peels on the arm of the sofa. I’d eaten 11 clementines in one sitting!

It's more a smell for me. The smell when you open a tin of Roses, the smell of cigar smoke, my dad always had his one cigar of the year on Christmas day and the smell of satsumas.

Manchester (she/her)

Potato salad, cold turkey, ice cream.

It feels like squashed into the kid's chairs in the backyard to eat then running under the sprinkler because it's too damn hot. Or the mild claustrophobia of a Christmas Eve carol service in church, no air con, coming down from a day in the 40s.

"Quality Street."

This immediately sprung to mind. There is something about a quality street chocolate that is slightly different and always makes me think of Christmas.
