Pardon my ignorance but what is it about Karen? Is this the new "Sharon" of my youth? I've only heard of Karen being used here but I have no idea in what context except to surmise that it's derogatory.

I havd no idea. One day it wasnt a thing the next day my facebook was full of karens. I thought it was a one of at first. It means a moany whiney entitled woman |

Karen is a derogatory meme, stereotypically a self-entitled, privileged white woman, who is self interested and demanding. She weaponises her privilege to demean minorities and people she sees beneath her. |
