Have you ever had those kind of experiences where you are 'supposed ' to be enjoying yourself but just felt meh about it and wished you were at home eating cake by yourself?

Yes. I guess some people you're just not compatible with in that regard. If they ignore any prompts you give and it's just not working for you then it's just frustrating. It's a shame when it happens. |

I’ve just stopped before now, someone you thought you were really in to, everything going good on a date & then in the sack nothing, may as well be a sack of potatoes for the feedback your getting.
That level of nothing has only happened a couple of times when younger luckily.

Long time ago whilst at uni I got friendly with the guy who lived on the floor below.
I didn't fancy him much but we liked eachother and one evening he started to kiss me so I let him carry on to see if I got excited.

It’s never been ‘just sex’ for me and I think this is the difference.

I don't think it's as black and white as that Like most of life, I think it comes down to communication. Most of my bad experiences were one night stands when I was younger - I didn't have to confidence to ask for what I wanted or suggest something different. If someone's pulling out what they think are their best moves, I still find it awkward if it's just not working for me, as I don't want to hurt their feelings! It's definitely something I've got better at, though

With some it’s a head thing though. I went out with someone that as soon as we would get amorous would play with herself. No problem except it was every time, all the time, Even in missionary, position & how awkward didn’t matter. gently try & move her hand & all hell would break loose.
After her giving odd reasons for it I talked to her long term previous who was a friend of a friend & quietly asked.
He turned around & said during a row she said she did it so no man could say he gave her pleasure, It was a control thing, he was a secondary consideration.
