It sucks with the news about Cineworld and potentially Odeon . I always wondered why they didn’t show more classics as I’d happily go if they showed more.
What’s some classic films you’d like to see on the big screen?
I’d love to see T2 judgement day on the big screen |

Most films with Cary Grant and Barbara Stanwyck and comedies with Gregory Peck among others.
Incidentally, I had the good fortune to see Some Like It Hot on a big screen a few years ago and up to then I did not appreciate how hot that film actually is. Seeing it larger than life made me realise why it caused such a stir at the time. |

I saw ‘The Wild Bunch’ at the Cinema and yes it was a totally different experience. If you have an independent cinema near you, they will do seasons of films. Not long back I watched ‘stop making sense’ the Talking Heads film, by mid way, some people were up dancing.
So not just classic films but classic anything |

I’d love to watch Jaws in the cinema.
Also, Sergio Leone’s, Dollars trilogy; The director was famed for his widescreen cinematography featuring beautiful and often desolate vistas. I’d love to see his vision on the big screen |

I didn’t realise how highly regarded some like it hot is. I’ve added it to the watch list so I don’t miss out on it any longer |

"Pulp Fiction
I also saw this at the cinema when it came out.
Brilliant "
I’d love to have seen it when it first came out! The reactions alone make viewing films in a cinema so much better.
There were a lot of scenes like that in once upon a time in Hollywood which made it so good |

"The original Star Wars trilogy
Saw all of them at the cinema first time round. 'A New Hope' was a birthday trip to the Leicester Square Odeon in '77."
I remember being in the queue for the first public performance at the Leicester Square Odeon on the day it opened (27/12/77). We were queuing down the side of the cinema and a pigeon crapped on the bloke standing in front of us. |

I always wondered why not too. The Imax here used to do that around Christmas (polar express in 3d was almost every year) and had rare certain promotions. Saw Carlito's Way in huge Imax and it was lovely.
I'd like to see Gravity, Last of the Mohicans, Heat, District 9 and The Walk come back as a big screen experience. |

The local cinema shows classic films such as Lost Boys, Terminator etc on anniversaries of their release. Sometimes they were films we only saw on the small screen so it's good to seem them on the big screen! |
