Apparently the word DISCO is vanishing from our daily vocabulary and many younger generation have no knowledge of what it means (I guess it's all "clubs" now)
What other words can you see disappearing from regular use in time.
Coal man must be nearly there ? |

"Fornicating
people just fuck or shag these days lol "
I use fornicate instead of fuck when something goes wrong at work. It's more office-friendly. Not terribly relevant at the moment, as I'm working from home, but it serves a purpose nevertheless. |

Fun fact, fuck is actually an acronym for Fornicate Under Consent of the King when sex was outlawed and required approval from the king |

That's because it isn't true. The word dates back to at least the 15th century, long before such abbreviations were in use, and has relatives in several other languages such as Dutch, German, Norwegian and Swedish. |

Somehow I doubt that's true. It smells to me a bit like posh standing for Port Out Starboard Home, which has been debunked. I'll go and see look up the origin of the word now. |

According to the Collins English dictionary it is of 16-Century Germanic origin, related to Middle Dutch fokken to strike.
The idea that people weren't allowed to have sex without the king's permission is is a bit absurd from a logistical perspective as well as pointless. |

"Milkman, haven't seen one in over 10 years.
Where I work, we have a milkman delivering the milk in glass bottles. More people should use milkmen."
Yep. Started using a milkman during the early stages of the pandemic. Live getting fresh milk in glass bottles again |

"I go to the pictures, you younger people say the cinema or even that fucking awful word movies. ')"
Going to see a film certainly makes little sense anymore. I suppose it has become a skeuomorphic word |

For me its welsh words I grew up with I've noticed local kids not using anymore. I'd always be speaking Wenglish with my Nain and it felt weird having to explain to a 15 year old what a dirty Mochyn was (dirty pig. He was making an absolute mess at his table in a cafe). |
