Definitely rather regret the things you do than don’t. Hopefully lessons can be learned (or not ) but the “what if??” involved of not doing something would be more frustrating

"Had anyone else got that song going through their head...'regrets, I've had a few, but then again......' "

what if I did, or what if I didn't do, both can be equally frustrating, but I get your point |

Apples and pears really, innit? I try not to shy away from new experiences, and whilst I'm proud of myself in general I'm not proud of everything I've done. I try to learn though.... |

"Would you rather regret something you did, or something you didn't do?"
Now that’s an interesting question. I “try” to live my life in a way that I don’t have many regrets and thus far I only have one or two regrets to call my own.
I think I’d rather regret an action than regret not acting given the choice... but it depends on the situation. The choice not to act is still an action and can use just as much willpower and courage.

I'd rather regret something I didn't do I think
Regretting something you did means you made a piss poor decision or choice. I'd rather have not made the decision in the first place.
If I'm regretting it that will likely mean I've hurt someone or myself or that badness has come of something.

"Don’t regret a thing........ it’s part of life’s great tapestry "
^^This^^ I don't regret anything I have or haven't done. No point it's now done and dusted and the 'me' that made the choice is in the past. And if I had made a different choice doesn't mean things would've turned out better. |

In a ball gown because that's how we roll in N. Devon |
I don't regret the things I've done. I do sometimes regret the consequences but I'm a firm believer that because the things you do turn you into the person you are and give you the life you have, they shouldn't be regretted.
However I do regret some things I've not done. Which is why I do my best to not have regrets and do the things I believe I want to do. Doesn't always work, partly because apparently the rest of humanity have free will and they don't always fall in line and do what I want them to.
(totally talking about Chris Hemsworth and his current refusal to turn up at my front door, obvs) |

I don't have regrets, any choice I make has the potential of hurting someone and I can't live my life for other people, I can only be aware of my choices and how they impact others and deciding for myself if its a worthy cause |
