All taking a same linear one causation approach to why rejected
Not all rejections are based upon attractiveness. Some are caused by omissions of data ?? |

Not really. Neither of us could possibly know how a potential meeting might have panned out. You can't miss out on something that hasn't and won't happen |

I’ve messaged them hoping I’m what they’re looking for, they reject me, then I’m obviously not what they’re looking for 
They’re nothing special or in their opinion neither am I so no loss  |

Whatever action a person takes you could always say they might be missing out on something special. Indeed even by doing something special you could be missing out on something equally special or even more special....
It's not really worth the thought unless you know you've made a bad decision, and even then just try not to do it again, but then perhaps in trying not to do it again you'd miss something special - it just goes on.... 
Just enjoy what you ARE doing I think is the key.... |

Of course we can " miss out" on good things
Iv rejected many an opportunity in life based upon a single bad judgment often because of not enough data
I dont regret or beat myself up but of course it happens |

Potentially!
I think it is really difficult to portray a depth of personality, sense of humour and caring persona in a first message. They may not be right for me but I am not sure if they can always tell without reading the message or following up on it! |
