I think any can be a bit volatile depending on what mood everyone is in. I’ve seen some pretty innocent threads get turned into slanging matches.
I reckon to get the best reaction, just start a thread about hating cake or something |

The problem with this debate is that on one side people would be coming from an emotional position but on the other side would be arguing from a philosophical ethical/moral position.
The two sides cannot have a debate on this as generally the emotional side will always view it as 'wrong' while the more dispassionate side may view it as 'wrong' or 'right' but allow for shades of grey.
The debate can only really take place between two dispassionate camps arguing 'right' or 'wrong' from a philosophical viewpoint. |

There was a thread re. race preference a couple of days ago which seems to have vanished entirely, so that presumably. I don't get why it was outright deleted, seems to stifle an interesting discussion. Sure, lock it and delete problematic posts if needed, but it was an interesting thread that I was following. Seems it was nuked from orbit. |

First mine stepped on?
But I say people and do not infer sex/gender/race or anything else. If someone else infers I am referring to a specific sex/gender/race then they will be more likely to be arguing from an emotional stand point. |
