A little bird made me smile today

A kingfisher!! Couldn t believe it. Finished work mid afternoon so took a barefoot walk into the local woodland to get some learning done on my new camera. My first few paces along the streambank was lit up in bright blue, fleetingly obviously. I am sooo happy. Loving my barefoot wandering page..I walk all the stream and small river beds into their secret places. Today has been a good day to be and feel ALIVE. So howabout you beauties..whats made you smile or your heart race..apart from me obviously lololol  |

When I got my shopping delivery last week a robin decided to come wait on the step with me,was about a foot away.
I think it was debating flying into my hallway at one point for a nose around, cheeky thing.

I love seeing a kingfisher its always quite a thrill. There is apair on a local river , i keep an eye out for them .
Oh whats made me jolly well smile today , i bought some new boots .
New walking boot day is a big deal ive spent 3 weeks choosing |

So what have you bought after all that deliberation. I must admit I tend to walk in combat boots, its what Im used to. Anything more serious than that are my karrimor all season mountain boots. I do walk an awful lot barefoot |

Sounds really lovely
I had a really wonderful video call first thing this morning and got kisses through the screen from my gorgeous goddaughter. That definitely made me smile for the rest of the day. |

I found a book on robins in a charity shop yesterday. It's called The Robin: A Biography by Stephen Moss. Lovely little hardback book in perfect condition and only £2 after I haggled them down from £3!

Ive gone for the Karrimore KSB cheviot , bit more expensive than the normal karrimore . Made in Italy rather than china so last a wee bit longer . I prefure a leather boot as you can keep them tip top condition .
I was going to get brashers but i need two new tyres for the Taff mobile |

This sounds just perfect!
On my early morning run today it was very windy and raining which caused lots of flooding.
I giggled like a young kid as I ran through ankle deep water and got splashed by passing cars... it felt awesome

that's beautiful. A robin is a sign of a lost loved one. When ever I'm feeling down it isn't long before a robin shows up. Totally love mother nature. |

Op it sounds a peaceful and happy moment of delight. though I've never tried barefoot through the woods I still try an listen out for birds. I once had a bright white owl fly directly above me as I was cycling I was surrounded by trees and fields an it was dark too. Scared me at first. Such a wonderful feeling to be able too see. |

Barn owl...way back people thought they were ghosts as they were often seen around or close to graveyards. |

You know I love this..we re always being told act your age and grow up...but I think its important and healthy that we let the child out as well..no matter what your age, the child is still in all of us...thats my excuse anyway  |
